I submitted the request, so the turn should be rolled back shortly. Make sure to check that all AI Ministers are turned off in the Empire options screen.

Dalton,

I've only got a few more ships to move through your space. All the other ones I had lined up have been retasked to take a detour.

I'm so used to my scouts flitting about, treading lightly, that I forgot a Shadow warship has a slightly heavier foot.

I looked up the components.txt file and couldn't find anything under "Raiders Mega Weapons" tech area... good thing I didn't waste any points in it.

Hey, Brian, if you're willing, I think now's as good a time as any to call a recess from our RP sparring. I could use a bit of a rest, what do you say? :)

Cool.

lol it only takes me about 10-15 minutes to write one up, if you're spending more time than that it's not worth it, and I'm a student in the beginning of the semester so my workload is not that heavy. Well I have other things to do too, so smell you later.

<edit>Actually I am pretty busy too. Lol. That's why I got Tux to run the games for at least a month.</edit>

Oh, what the christ.

So I go to upload my turn this morning - which seems odd as I was quite certain I'd done so yesterday, at least I'd played through it - and beforehand, it shows everyone "ready for turn" except me, so I hit the upload button, select my turn, and hit "send".

Then I wait, and wait, and wait, and it does nothing.

So I figure, okay, maybe there was a dropped packet or the connection got broken or something, and I have to leave for class soon so I can't wait all day for this sumbitch to time out, so I reload the 'upload turn' dialog and do the send turn thing again.

Goes through licketysplit, only to show me that I'm the only one "ready for turn" and now everyone else is "waiting for turn", as if the first turn submission had gone through and I had accidentally uploaded the same turn for the next turn.

So I go to "cancel turn" and when I try to do so it throws a 500 error at me, including the text:

I get that too if I try to cancel a turn with Firefox. Try using IE to cancel the turn instead.

So did the turn upload, then, or did the AI take it?

You know what's a bigger pain in the ass. Having a 126 space yards and having to manually one by one remove the queues or fill the queues and finding out there's a multi-add button but it can't add 2 but only 1 or 5.

Brian's actually climbed into first place thanks to his huge number of space yard bases, which is really fucking impressive considering that we've got a Vorlon player and a Shadow player. Expect him to be as big of threat in this game as he is in the ST game, despite the fact that the ship yard component is pretty lame (only 1000/1000/1000 IIRC). He's got more than enough of the damned things to make up for it.

*calls Guppy over, whispers*

Down with the filthy humans!

*gets two ancient fleets to annihilate the humans*

Seriously though that many fighters scare me. Vorlons need Electromagnetic weapons 7 to even start researching PD weapons. Needless to say it's a priority.

When this game is done I'd like to do another. This being my first game I've made more than a few errors. Luckily I have the vorlons or I'm certain I'd be in last place.

By the time this game and the next is done SE:V will be out hopefully.

And if you want fighters look at the Minbari. I wonder if they're just police troops or hundreds of fighters waiting to attack... if she's researched the right stuff (and she probably has) she could waltz right in through anybody and annihilate them.

Fighters probably aren't much of a hassle until the age of jump drives though as long as you have enough ships guarding the wormhole in the fighters won't launch until their motherships are destroyed.

For projecting them, certainly. But options are always open. :)

Minbari are great at fighter combat. Minb fighters have nice weapons to destroy engines (which destroys enemy fighters, right? No engines, fighter explodes?), and long range beams that can swat down a squadron in a shot. :P

Annhiliate? But my dear raider captain! This game is more about diplomacy instead of outright aggression. More like an RP game than total war.

You know, the Cooke system looks like perfect neutral ground. Especially for EA to set up a diplomatic station there of some kind. I think Mesopotamia 6 works!

It's gonna take awhile to get the research done for that. Research in this game seems to go a bit slow.

Did I propose to you (har) a Research treaty? Or was that that turn I could have sworn I sent but apparently did not?

Hahaha.

Right now, Tobor is on the phone to Kojiro complaining about losing a ship to the Vorlons in the latest turn. :)

You know what's goddamn annoying. Finding out that the fucking xenos are plotting against you and having to order 126 shipyards to go to emergency build.. argh.

I'll get you for that Neph and Vorlons... well at least, I'll make sure that I say a lot more bad things about you alien scum in RP you guys are way to far away for me to be a threat at least yet and I'm not going to go rampaging around killing everything . Trust me on that.
