That's why I said practically, it's got plenty of stuff out there to enable this mod to be exported to I-War 2's engine and use real physics.

As for my view of FS2, I like the story and all, but it felt like I was still playing an X-Wing wannabe or another WC game. I-War is what changed it for me, if only by defying convention with capital ships and as much real physics as possible.

Click here! The linky wants it! There's the website of the aformentioned Babylon Project, which is also a stand alone Freespace 2 total conversation, like this nBSG thing. It doesn't feature the newtonian physics of Babylon 5: I've Found Her, but the atmosphere (what I find to be the most important aspect) is just as good. In fact, they both feel Babylon 5 and they're both free downloads, so if you haven't tried either one yet, now is a good time to flex your flying skills before the Cylons come.

PS
Is I-War 2 playable without a joystick? It's one of those classic cult games that everyone raves about, but I've never really played.

It's quite okay for me, but it dpeends on your experience with other space sims. If you've never been able to play TIE Fighter without a joystick, you're going to want a stick for I-War 2. A sticker definately helps I-War 2 more than other games.
