B5 - Don't know, don't follow the series.
Star Trek - ST has no fighters, so ownership defaults to Starlancer. EVen with shuttlecraft STarlancer still owns ST.
Star Wars - Even X-Wings will own the Phoenix or, unless the Phoenix uses its Nova Cannon, which MIGHT produce the power of an LTL bolt. Considering the shield power of SW fighters and the weaponry carried to necessitate such shielding, SW owns STarlancer.
A legitimate tactic would be cloaks or Spectral Shields, but I'm not sure how long either can hold out.
