GTA:SA problem

Post by Enigma »

I am having problems the textures on the people in the game. It is as if they are partially visible or invisible depending how you look at them. Has anyone else had this problem? How did you fix it?

Not encountered in SA, but I have in other games.

Try patching SA or patching your video card drivers.

Though I have a question. Is this problem recent? Have you recently updated your card drivers? Some times new updates screw up some games.

Radeon 9200 SE and I think the drivers are up to date. I only get this problem on SA and not on any other game. There is no patch for SA second edition except for the no hot coffee mod.

This happened in the First Edition too. There were some fixes and workaround posted somewhere but I can't remember where now. I would've thought they'd have fixed this.

There. It's about problems with ATI Radeon cards. There should be some fixes/workarounds in there hopefuly that you can try. Keep in mind this was for when it first came out initially so I don't know if it'll work for the Caffeine-free version or not.

EDIT: Another thread about it:

Run it in win98 compatability mode. It fixed all sorts of problems for me, everything from graphical glitches to full on crashes.
