"The Canon Argument" is amusing as well Wayne. Good show!

Are those characters based off of "The SIMS" program by any chance?

Not at this time, no. I could put them on Google video, and I believe you can download 'em from there, correct?

You can get them from Youtube, but you'll need Firefox, the UnPlug extension and a program that can convert flash video files into something usable.

In theory.

I have none of those. Anyone care to do the hard work and dump it somewhere?

Looks like some of the training I have seen in the field here in my unit.
Hell one of my friend was a cop, he died recently responding to the scene of an accident :( . Anyways they are always told that the average distance between a cop and a crinimal is less than 10 meters yet 75% of all shots miss. During one bank robbery he went to he let off 17 rounds only 1 of which hit yet he is considered a marksman.

And besides looks like they shoot as well as alot of the stormtroopers.

Youtube stores it's videos as Flash movies, so if you have the proper tools, you can convert them to pretty much anything you want.

Indeed. In real situations, missing is perfectly acceptable. But Trekkies like to claim that their stuff never misses.

As for Klaa: He's a reject and a loon. He thinks he can take on the greatest warrior in the galaxy, and so become famous. He's just lucky that Kirk didn't decide to give him a fight, or he'd be pulped. Taking on a battleship commanded by 'the best warrior in the galaxy' in a frigate/destroyer... What a reject.

That said, I'm not sure that the bit where he misses the Enterprise deserves to be there. I'd chalk that one up to Sulu punching the 'warp' button at precisely the right moment, rather than Klaa's ship actually missing.

Desperate trekkies like to claim all kinds of BS. They make one ridiculous leap in logic (like computer targeting = perfect targeting) without even bothering to justify them. To them its expected to be a self-evident fact.

If the torp showed any sign of turning to follow the E-A (even though the turn wouldn't be enough to compensate), that would be a legitimate criticism. As it is seen on the show, the torp might as well have been a dumb-fire.

They usually are. That doesn't mean much - torpedos have never entered warp on their own, and that might as well be an energy weapon.

Even if the torp doesn't enter warp, SOME sort of tracking should appear; the torp adjusting its course in the direction the E-A took off in, even though it can't match the speed.

And I'm pretty sure the energy weapons on a BOP are mounted on the wings. The weapon on the front of the ship is clearly a torpedo tube.

You're correct, but STIII and V used a peculiar effect for the BoP's 'torpedoes' that made them look more like swirly energy weapons, hence the confusion.
