Orcs, Trolls, and the Balrog, they must fight past Elder Things and Shoggoths.

Do they make it, or do they all die horribly?

I personally think they're screwed.

'Elder Things'?
If you mean seinor citizens by Elder Things, the Fellowships is screwed because they are swarmed by seinors demanding social security money, and the Fellowship dies of hunger.

Anyway, Elder Things are alien beings who are eight feet tall and six feet across, are much stronger than a human, can fly at sixty miles per hour, and can see in the dark. They're incredibly difficult to kill, highly intelligent, and occassionally know magic.

Shoggoths are even worse, being huge blobs that can get up to a hundred feet across, perhaps bigger, can form any appendage or organ from their bodies, and are even harder to kill than Elder Things. They are also fairly intelligent.

Good bye Fellowship. The only point of contention I really see is Gandalf's survival. I don't remember how powerful he is.

I belive Gandalf the Grey was limited with human fraility. So I think he can be killed... Chances are he would be ressurected as Gandalf the White again... but whats the point? The ring is lost and the Fellowship is dead.

Wasn't Gandalf restricted to whatever powers he could obtain in mortal lands?

He certainly doesn't have access to any godlike powers in Middle-Earth, which doesn't bode well for his survival in this scenario.
