No, that's his usual modus operandi. He shows up, posts some inflammatory stuff, gets HoSed, and then ducks back into the shadows for three or four months. Check his history: the last time he posted was back in October or November (IIRC) in the "Founding Fathers" sticky; DW HoSed him quickly.wolveraptor wrote:Man, if you people scared him away already, I'm going to be pissed. A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Hmm. I was under the impression he was a complete n00bie. Now that I look at previous threads and his postcount, I seem to remember him. He's not one to leave an impression. By the way, has anyone checked his IP with the guy on DW's hatemail page? Is it just a standard fundie lie or what?

For the other question from above: I have Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia. My variation is classic tet with a native pulmonary artery not attached to the heart. The pulmonary branches are normal as is the Aorta. I have had the Waterston shunt (age 6 weeks) and the Blalock-Taussig shunt (about age 6 or 7), total correction (age 10) with two revisons since. I also had an ICD implanted in 2004. My right ventricle is enlarged and non working and a decreased function of the left.
I have a BA ('94) from Allentown College of St Francis De Sales now De Sales Univeristy. A Catholic College but very liberal in a lot of it's views. I majored in Psychology intending to use it to work with children in similar situations as my self but never really got a chance to do so. I am just a lowly tech support for a wireless company and I build computers and maintain my home network as a hobby. I may look into going for a education to be an echocardiography tech. But I have to have the funds first.
I don't post often as I have other concerns. Like hospital visits etc. This is just for fun.

Basically, that can result in oxygen poor blood being pumped into the body which is known to cause hallucinations. A good example is evident among high altitude climbers that have been known to hallucinate due to poor oxygen saturation.Darth RyanKCR wrote:

Darth RyanKCR it's quite obvious you were hallucinating due to low oxygen in your blood due to your condition, and you believe that your hallucination was god because you were a child at the time and vulnerable to suggestion, and perhaps even more so due to your condition. Combine that with the wild statements of a nurse it's no wonder you feel so sure that god spoke with you that night.
All this aside, I wish you the best and hope science is able to completely correct the problem.

Actually my Oxygen Sat. was about 98% that night. When under physical duras would it go lower to below 75. Since correction it usually does not drop below 92.Kamakazie Sith wrote:Basically, that can result in oxygen poor blood being pumped into the body which is known to cause hallucinations. Thanks for the good thoughts. Right now the only cure I have is a transplant when the cardiac function goes below a certain level. I'm right now sitting in no man's land. Below what is expected of someone with my condition corrected but above transplant stage. I'm considered stable right now but being monitored. I am in danger of sudden death due to arrythmia so I have the ICD. It was placed because a cousin with the same defect but text book case died at age 28 due to the arrythmia and my case is one of the most severe. I've got good people taking care of me.
It's very interesting seeing where technology has gone from when I was a child.
Now that I totally diverted the topic I'll just add that life's experiences help shape a person's outlook and lead someone to a conclusion but it is still a choice. And the mother looking for a Christian friend for her son is like a parent not allowing a child to be friends with gang member. As a parent you want to instill your values to them but even then the child will decided for themselves.

I am sure people with heart defects would be very please to hear that they don't really have an illness. No sirree, its not an illness. Oh wait, you are just using bullshit word subsitution again.Darth RyanKCR wrote:
The surgery did not correct my illness. I have a heart defect not an illness. Being sick with strep throat is very different then having a heart defect.
Basically your argument boils down to "when god spoke to you" it feels different from your previous hallucinations (with the strep throat infection). Therefore this isn't a different hallucination, it must be real. Applying that logic, if a psychiatric patient has more than one type of hallucination say an auditory and a visual one, they can therefore argue one of those must be true.Darth RyanKCR wrote: Could be... and I don't discount it but I think I can tell the difference. Let me give you some examples of what I mean. When I was younger I use to get strep throat a lot and have very high fevers. I used to think that I heard the walls arguing with the doors and people kicking my bed from underneath. In reality when you get such a high fever you brain tends to lose the ability to filter. If you concentrate you can see your nose without a mirror. What was happening was that I was hearing the blood rushing in my ears and the brain tried to put meaning into the sounds. The kicking? Well that was the fact that due to my heart condition when I would get sick my heart would pound so heard it actually shook the bed. it still does that to an extent. Problem is now it may set off the ICD if it starts to race long enough. It's gone off twice now and well...

Let's not forget that causes of hallucination can affect how you percieve it. Having had hallucinations from meds and from dehydration I can attest they are incredibly differant.mr friendly guy wrote:Basically your argument boils down to "when god spoke to you" it feels different from your previous hallucinations (with the strep throat infection). Even more amusing (at least to me) is an anecdote in my mothers psych text book of giving LSD to a schizophrenic with full visual/audio hallucinations. His hallucinations drastically changed and he could tell he was hallucinating on the acid.
Its more a point of if what you see is something you want to belive. The closer the event is to something you want to happen, the more 'gaps' your brain fills in to make it seem real.

A parent not allowing their child to be friends with a gang member is a lot different than not allowing their child to be friends with a non-christian. One is an intelligent choice based off love, the other is just prejudice. Now that I totally diverted the topic I'll just add that life's experiences help shape a person's outlook and lead someone to a conclusion but it is still a choice. So if you're not a Christian, you're as violent and as bad an influence as a gang-member?
Unequivocally, you're being an asshole, making such sweeping generalizations about people you don't even know. It's one thing to not want violent people influencing your child, but it's quite another to shelter your child from other points of view that are not inherently harmful.

Like I said, I wouldn't put too much stock into what this guy has to say. The obvious and most likely conclusion here is that he's a typical fundie. "Fundie" and "pathological liar" can be used synonymously, as far as I'm concerned.Oh come on. I find it hard to believe you asked the nurse what your Oxygen Sat. was when you were seven years old.

I feel weak because I can't find it, but everything he is saying is exactly the same as in some email exchange Mike had up. Right down to the 'glowing', the nurse, everything. He's either cutting and pasting or he's one of Mikes creationist Hate Mail guys.
Hey, I should check the creationist site...

You have a good memory, StarkHate-mailing creationist 'Michael Miller' wrote:I know what this may make you think but I also, at age 7 the night before my second surgery I believe I was visited by an angel. I always thought that it was in my head until my mother told the story about how a nurse walked in and ask my mother what happened. So I believe that there is something greater then us and there is a reason for us.

Uh, I mentioned that pages ago, and he informed us the second time at the top of this page. No wonder you feel weak, Stark.
