New PC specs

Post by atg »

I've (almost) finished building my new pc, so here's the specs:

Athlon64 X2 3800+
2GB RAM
1x 80GB IDE HDD
1x 250GB SATA HDD
nVidia 6600GT 256MB
Epox 9npaj-ultra mobo
Compro DVB-T300 Tv Tuner
LG Dual-layer DVD-+RW
17" BenQ FP71V 4ms monitor

Windows XP Pro and Ubuntu installed.

The Athlon 3800+ is currently overclocked from 2Ghz to 2.2. I'll be trying for more once my new cpu cooler arrives.
The 6600GT is a temp until my 7800GT arrives. :P

How much is that little lot setting you back? If you don't mind me asking.

All told it's about $2000 AUD, including the price of the 6600GT not the 7800GT on order. Slightly cheaper than normal because I'm buying through work at cost price :D

Battlefield 2 and Call of Duty 2 play nice on this, can't wait for the 7800GT :D

I guess you didnt realize the 80gb PATA drive could have been almost trippled in storage space for a very small amount?

The 80GB was one I had lying around spare from another machine, was hardly ever used so I decided to make use of it.

I do work for a pc maker so I am aware of prices :D
