Update! I just did some research, and apparently the guy who posted the list screwed up: Sins of a Solar Empire and Sword of Stars are, in fact, entirely DIFFERENT sweet-looking 4X games slated for 2006. Sins is actually slated for first-quarter release. *drools*

Slowboat star travel, instantaneous hyperspace gates, naturally-occuring subspace travel-lines, stutter-drives, and a warp field IN THE SAME GAME? Holy shit, Sword of the Stars has balls. Each race gets its own unique FTL type that behaves completely different in-game, including one that has to STL to new systems to set up gates..
