Meh it really wouldn't have mattered, I only built research facilities on low value worlds (< 50%) I assume you did the same. My territory was not really that good until I got genesis torpedoes, a lot of 10% planets for intelligence or research facilities on. My economy centers on 15-20 huge gas giant planets that each put out around 50k kT of whatever.
<edit>And wow Trogdor you have sooo many green planets in your homesystem, I only have the homeworlds and a couple others, the rest I had to convert </edit>

Well, the Shofixti's Ultimate Glory Device didn't win their war, either, so I guess that would only be appropriate.
Edit: Yeah, I got lucky that way. Didn't convert a single one of 'em, I found 'em like that.

That because I got such a better starting point than you did, Dalton? If it makes you feel better, you're a lot more powerful than me now. Also, there's no way in hell I'm getting my glorious supernova death that would make a Klingon turn green with envy.Dalton wrote:*fuck* !!!!!

I think he's more worried about the 50 battlecruisers every 3 turns lol.
I've been tempted to send my Pythro fleet into Klingon space for a long time, but I have no idea how many ships are waiting on the other end of that wormhole and if he has shield and armor skipping weapons it could be a slaughter. Still opening a warp point into his home systems is kind of cheese, would have done it sooner but they've been pretty busy lol.

Wait until the next round. Karma'll make sure Trog starts in the middle of the galaxy, with a bunch of small red rocks and tiny ice planets nearby. Oh, and nebulas. Lots of them.Trogdor wrote:That because I got such a better starting point than you did, Dalton? If it makes you feel better, you're a lot more powerful than me now. While Dalton will surely start with a ringworld someone left behind.
So, when'll we set up the sequel game?
Do you even know where his home system is yet? I mean, I guess you could check the old map again, but seeing as how you've been stealing them from the Tholians, it seems like you're willing to be more sporting with him.
Edit: I consider karma to have struck with the B5 game. Centauri space will probably be a warzone sooner or later. And a ring world? I don't think karma hates me enough to glitch the game.

A big question is whether they'll be RP.
RP is really time consuming, it was fun over Christmas but I don't relish the thought of RPing in the middle of examinations and I have very little self discipline lol.
I think they'll be RP especially if there's the Borg Monsters game like before, but there should be a ten homeworld start and high technology cost (everybody knows what to research now so the "newbie" buffer shouldn't matter plus it'll make research choices more important I'm researching shit I'm never going to use) and of course warp 13 ships from the very start and a huge galaxy because I hate ships moving one square. Plus the fighters, one armor per vehicle.
Sporting? Lol. You had invincible ships, your 100 KF's could kill 1000 of mine so don't talk about sporting . At least everybody knows how to kill KF's now with point blank quantums. It'd take just 20 ships to kill the Klingons and you know that.
And stealing the maps from the Tholians only gives me one system map a turn so I don't know where his are actually. I started stealing money from the Tholians instead, it's helped me a lot actually.

Well you didn't know I had invincible ships at the time you decided to go to the map to find my home system!
You're stealing resources from them, too? Poor guys are probably near bankrupt. Well, serves 'em right for having no intelligence points.

We saw your ship count go up by 40 then another 40 then all the way up to 110. And yeah we did know you had invincible ships. Neph sent a suicide probe through the Talarian wormhole I think (saw your Sword of Romulus) and I got the ship design. So a couple turns before, but we were planing to invade anyway, just that the invincible KF's made me go in with completely obsolete ships and mostly fighters.

I was really just kidding about the whole "being sporting" thing. I would've done the same in your position.
And Nephtys, I only have population because the Shadows helped me conquer the Llort, and you know what they say. What the Shadows giveth, the Shadows can bloweth to helleth. Meanwhile you and Tux have huge chunks of the map.

Bah I know that you were kidding.
And if you weren't I'll find out when you're assimilated lol.
Back when you had 110 ships, I had only around 20-30 warships and Neph around 30 cubes. And the Dominion was pumping out 6 move ships with obsolete weapons. It was pretty dire for awhile, we thought we were finished, especially before the Tholian wormhole was closed and we thought we might have to fight a two front war.
But it ended up Martok didn't take advantage and attack either, and it's too late now.

What advantage? I was busy trying to compensate for my shit planets.

May the way of the Hero lead to the Triforce.
For 30 turns the eastern front was completely undefended. I didnt' even have fighters. And remember the minesweeper... that was to make you paranoid . I actually didn't have any mines there at all, I was buying time so I could bring a fleet there. I can't plant mines in Rura Penthe because of the stupid move one square random thing.
<edit>How much did your shit planets hinder your expansion? I think you built a warfleet to deal with the Tholians really early? Maintainence is a killer, I didn't have a real warfleet until 20 turns ago and didn't really start building with full capacity until ten turns ago.
My own expansion was stopped by neutrals, or I would have expanded even further to the south and south-west. The East was Tholians, the northwest was Borg and Dominion, and southeast was you.
</edit>
<edit 2>And I bet you would have changed your mind now that you know how the shit homeworlds turned out for you lol. Oh well next time you'll get huge gas giants or something </edit 2>

I had a treaty with the Tholians at the time, that's why I didn't take them out. I couldn't expand to the north because of you, and there are three neutral races within close proximity to my west.

That's one mistake I'm not making with the neutrals again. Next time I see 30 neutral ships I'm simming to see if I can kill them with 10... neutrals held me up for so long when only a small fleet of 20 ships could have steamrolled them and took their home planet.
I actually held up conquering neutrals directly north of my home system for about 20 turns so I could get ship capture technology and take their gas giant colonization... too bad that didn't work out.

Well, not to say I told you so, but I seem to remember explaining exactly why that wouldn't work before you went and tried it anyway.

I'm back, bitches! I'll leave it on ALPU until the next turn executes, then I'll set it back to the normal 48 hour automatic turns.

Damn you and your dumb luck, Brian! If you had tried to open that warp point exactly one turn later, it would have been blocked by the system gravitational shield facility. Now it's going to be permanent.
Every single time you've had a gaping vulnerability, we've been in no position to exploit it or know about it. Every time we've had a vulnerability, you've been right there at the worst possible time. If I didn't know better, I'd think you were a witch.

BOW DOWN BEFORE THE MASTER PEONS
Hahahahahahaha, sorry, I can't help but laugh my ass off .
I assumed that your system was shielded. When I saw the warp point close in Talarian, I said why not and decided to move my warp point opener to the closest possible system I could open from and try Atende out. Guess it worked out haha.
Would just have delayed the inevitable. We have a "at least one wormhole open" rule anyway, so if it failed I would have opened to Breen and warped into Kelowne this turn or next turn.
I had a "gaping vulnerability" for over thirty turns so it's not like it was a secret you could have saw my low shipcount from around turn 30 - 60 hahaha, especially when Trogdor had 110 ships, more than me and Nephtys combined, that was a ripe time .
Luck my ass .

Sooner or later, Brian, karma will kick in and in one of these games you won't be the huge, looming threat.
