ST movies odd vs even
Okay I am in desperate need of some Sci-fi. And I haven't seen any ST for some time so I thought I should go out and borrow them. Now which ones are the good ones? The evens or the odds?

Right O! Ahh is it necessary to see ST: I before the rest or not so much?

ST:I
I would definitely recommend against seeing ST:I. It is extremely tedious, and the plot makes absolutely no sense, until the last 10 minutes. Avoid ST:I at all costs!

No. All you need to know is that the E-Nil has been upgraded from TOS.

Indeed. It's actually one of the bad one that I can get through because of Goldsmith's score and the TOS crew in a movie. Plus the fact that it took great risk in including "God", unfortunately the risk was poorly executed and could have been done much better.Uraniun235 wrote:5 is still fun. It's not great, but it's fun.

Well, there were definitely redeeming scenes in ST IV; especially where Scotty is trying to communicate with an ordinary PC using the mouse as a microphone...

Watch 2, 3, 4, 6, and then stop. If you are interested in a vampire movie which happens to be based loosely on Star Trek, watch STFC too.

And if you want a sequelto it then Nemesis is for you. May God have mercy on your tortured soul when that experience is overDarth Wong wrote: If you are interested in a vampire movie which happens to be based loosely on Star Trek, watch STFC too.

2, 4 and 6 are all you need to see. 3 is OK in spots. First Contact (8?) is OK if you don't think about it too much. Insurrection is shit and we'll have to wait and see about Nemesis when it hits the theatres...I agree that you should only see 1 if you are a BIG fan: long drawn out movie that didn't feel like the original series. It also had the longest wank-fest glory-shot let's cruise around the new Enterprise scene that lasts about an hour. Good cure for insomnia...
Pizza, Margarita Shooters and naked Sebacen girls...Now that's a party.
2, 3, 6, 7, 8, are my personal choices.
And it helps with most sci-fi, if you don't think about it too much
