Test Your Reaction Speed/Aim

Post by Exonerate »

http://www.draebenstedt.de/reaction/reaction.html

Basically, it's a program that measures your reaction times and accuracy by seeing how close your mouse's movement correlates with a moving target, like an FPS.

First try was a lag time of 172 ms, with 4.4 degrees. I usually average around the 180 ms range, with around 4.2 degrees... I'm curious as to what the other gamers here get. I'd probably do better if the crosshairs were smaller =/

Figure out the reason yet?

David, it's not one of those screamer things. Were you traumatized by one?

Not surprising since I prefer consoles to PC gaming - my mouse arm is woefully under-trained. And I have the reaction time of a sloth on valium.

Interesting. I've been averaging around 5 degrees and 210ms. Strange, considering my skill at most FPSs, particularly compared to some of my friends. I particularly shine with those accurate snap-shots from bolt-action or otherwise slow firing weapons. Hell, it's the entire basis of my BF2 sniper playing.

260's and about 5 degrees, and embrassingly enough on my Logitech G5 as well. My reflex has always been quite poor, so I'm not surprised.

253ms, 4.5' off. Hey not too bad considering the fact I always play RPGs and console fighting games.

252ms, 4.8' off. I'd say that isn't too bad, considering I'm using my laptop's touchpad. I wonder how much a real mouse would change these results.

Funny thing
In an arm chair, mouse on the arm, I got 240 with 4.9 degrees, sitting at my desk a slightly more respectable 214 and 4.7 degrees.

Hah. If I'm quick enough to plink Fucking Fettel in the head twice every time he shows up, I think I'm fast enough.

245 Ms, 4.7 Degrees. I thought I was better, because I play videogames 24/7. Practice makes perfect I guess.

Consistently 200-205 ms and 4.5-5*.

Overcompensating on late reactions keeps the 2nd number as high as it is.
I can get sub 200 every now and then. :|

Around 230 and 4.5 on average. I console myself by pointing out that enemies in Halo and BF2 don't fly around like rocket squirrels on crack.

Well, this feels nice. Averaging a bit under 200 and maybe 4.5. Didn't feel particularly weird to me because I play space sims. You guys who mostly play FPS should try activating the 'restrict to horizontal movement' option, see if you do any better.
