Is there a point to stockpiling huge armies of Unlearned?

Huge mobs of untrained population means more trained population, since the training rate is a percentage of your masses.

So, the day of reckoning has come. This may be a bit melodramatic, but I've always wanted a chance to inspire the troops through an impromptdu, pre-battle speech, so here it goes.

Greetings, brave standard-bearers of SDN. I stand before you today not as your commander or your leader, but as a comrade in arms. For the great test that has been put before us on this day, we must not think of each other in terms of class, or wealth, or even species. No, we must rather think of ourselves as equals, each walking the same path, for the same ultimate goal, the purest goal a thinking being can have. Today we fight for our right to be free, and more than that, our very right to exist.

The cruel hordes of Crystalforce Gamma have long sought to deny us these inalienable necessities; since the very day our great alliance was forged, they bent their terrible might against us. They killed our comrades, razed our lands, stole our hard-earned supplies, and abducted our wounded for their own twisted ends. They have done all these things time and time again, and they will not stop as long as their abhorrent leaders still draw breath. And they will not stop with us; if a day comes when the last of our might wanes, when our final vanguard falls, then their pestilence will spread across the cosmos, and all life everywhere will be forced under their heel, or exterminated outright.

But this is not the legacy I choose to leave to my descendants; I will not let the Legions of SDN be known the universe over as the alliance that let themselves and all of their ideals be vanquished without a fight. My soldiers will not be remembered as the harbingers of a dark and hopeless sunrise. No! They will stand against the darkness, fight it with their dying breaths, and I will stand with them.

And we shall not defy the storm alone. Even as I speak, the grand armies of Spoon and his Seven, the valiant Eternal Knights, the indomitable Lord Baneblade and his Furling crusaders, all of them prepare to enter this desperate and glorious battle, for each knows what rides upon the outcome. But even this alliance, I fear, will not be enough to overcome Crystalforce Gamma.

There is yet hope, though. You, all of you standing before me today are the greatest and most honorable of leaders; though not all may be the most powerful in strength of arms, I see in each of your hearts the finest qualities a commander could hope for. Bravery, dedication, loyalty. Loyalty not just to me and your respective commanders, but to a greater ideal, one that transcends all obstacles and boundaries. Loyalty to the idea of fellowship, one working towards the betterment of the whole, and all those who reside in it.

In past days, some of us were enemies. Adversaries by necessity, or through simple misunderstanding. Others fought over superficialities, over race and species. But on this hour, we must put aside all of these old quarrels, and remember that our cause is a universal one. Ancient, Furling, Wraith, Unas, Re’tu, Child of the Ori, all of these shall fight on this day, united as one. And against such purpose, such dedication, such devotion to our cause, no enemy could hope to prevail. Go forth, brave soldiers, and fight not for me or yourself, but for each other. For at the end of the day, when all else lies in ruin, that is all we have.

I have to admit, that's a pretty impressive speech, Lord Arbiter.

Though I might ruin the moment by saying I couldn't stop from laughing at "the grand armies of Spoon" part.
I just get a very odd image in my mind of an army of spoons marching and being lead by a large golden spoon.

Original indeed. Perhaps there was planning in the choice of names. One that would confuse and shock foes. It would make sense since, if properly used, a spoon could be used to shock foes.

The untrain population if left alone and not converted to army or covert units will increase your source of income the more there are. I have about 44k making 1.3 million naquadriah.

Gentlemen.

I am temporarily withdrawing from the alliance. The reason for this is simple - I fear blowback. One cannot believe that clusterfuck gamma will not respond with severe force to this. And as I have groused about before, my time demands mean that I cannot build up nearly as fast as the rest of you can. Thus when they strike back, I'll get utterly creamed to a point where it is questionable if there would even be a point to my continued playing on Chaos.

I wish you good luck and god speed, and I'll be reapplying in a couple of days after they hit back.

I respect your choice; I would not seek to enlist those who could not defend themselves. On a related note, I have received intellegence that Disciples of Fires may be allied with Crystalforce, thus theoretically increasing the effectiveness of a counter-attack.

Anyone who wants to leave right now can do so unimpeded and with my understanding.

Nonexistant. I hold on because I always make sure when I go into situations where it is required that I am already holding all the cards. Hence the appearance of iron will, and the appearance that I never lose.
Bit of a tip - there are 2 ways to win: You can be fast, and react in time to counter someone else, or you can be quick, and have outthought them and prepositioned everything.

I will of course continue my sporadic farming of their members.

Excellent speech, although did they really strike first? Not that I'm saying they're not evil--they are the most foul abominations in the universe and must be annihilated down to the very last member.

That is how I plan on opening the battle. I have three at my disposal.

I looked at the Disciples member list and I recognize the 2 top ranking members :Lord Ho Cum Man and Lord Ho Chi Man. I think they were once part of Crystalforce. If they still have connections to their former alliance, we can expect some trouble.

Whatever nahquahdriah we take should go into improving defenses just in case.

Fucking hell is sabotage not worth it, I lost almost 6000 spys for maybe four weapons total destroyed. Even if they were the half million dollar ones, that is just not fucking worth it. I'm never fucking sabbing again unless they de-nerf it.
