There was no jump gate involved. THat i would have understood.

I attacked a planet and from what i can gather it treated the engagement like jumping onto a hostile warp point rather than a planetary assualt.

I've got the replay and im sure dalton can share it around too. It just seems absolutely retarded considering the very next engagement at the planet my fleet set up in a normal fashion.

Well.

Was the planet on a warp point?

Recently I had a battle in the ST game where a bunch of fighters didn't go through a warp point but somehow appeared point blank one square away from my ships.

<edit>Did you do something strange like break a treaty with him on the same turn while you were still in orbit? That could happen. Or else maybe a glitch. Any case armor'll win the day, heavy armor class 1A :D</edit>

I'm not sure exactly what the problem is...as far as I can tell things went normally. The planet wasn't on a warp point.

Gups, waitin' on ya.

The game's starting to get active and I'm tired of waiting for my Sharlins to build.

I've looked at both replays.

In the first engagement, the attacking Dilgar fleet begins at lot, lot closer:

If that isn't a little fucked I don't know what is.

Actually, Neph, I think they left you out of the party. Your declaration of war came a turn before the Centauri and Vorlons broke their treaties with me. Snubbed!

Weird bug?

Huh. This is really strange now but uh. I've been researching along my weapons tech, when a new option appears. Shadow Advanced Weapons.

I'm surprised, but don't know if it gives me anything or not. In my tech-test single player game, I never got this option. What the heck?

The mod is a bit buggy of course. I can't seem to acquire Improved Neutron Lasers, despite them being finished and balanced. Would this give me them, or a shadow beam, or nothing? Mew! :/

If some of you are building, I posted a saved game file earlier back with designs and ships with the shield armor that you get with chemistry 2 and physics 2 (passive armor physics/manufacturing/engineering) passive armor physics 6 being the best sort of like how fusion is better than fission or grav better than antimatter.

No, unless you have Shadow Heavy Weapons level 1. Dead-end technology. I have a lot of dead end technology too.

All the components are in components.txt in the B5 folder, techarea.txt, etc.

Improved Neutron Lasers aren't in the Minbari tech tree, dead-end cause you need Vorlon Heavy Weapons.

High Exemplar Kreoss says....

Cry more newb!

Seriously, your end game weapons are better than mine. You have living CPUs. End of the day Shadow ships (since the vorlon shields are mentioned but not actually *in* the game) are going to win out. Where is the logic in me waiting around for you to get there?

Brian, I know that's usually the case. But...

In SP, my first game as Earth Alliance, after I was done researching a few things, I got access to shadow beams and blew the crap out of the opposition.

If you start at medium or high technology (medium is default I think) it might give you a random sampling of technology.

Like if you start with high and see all technology you get maximum tech and you get every race's weapons :P.

Well we do hate you. That also helps. Vorlons wanting to keep the Shadows power and influence under control (or anything under control for that matter) is hardly new.

He did have a lot of ability to influence it. It's the direct result of severing ties with the Shadows, murdering their ambassador, and attacking their planets.

I have consistently gone out of my way to avoid being a prick to player races, but even I have limits. :)

I think it's an attempt to stop your power before it rises really. The Shadows DID conquer several homeworlds.

Sure, Brian's done the same. But he's so localized! :P

The shadows have that fully-populated planet in Nocalo. Was that ever explained in RP?

No, I don't have a planet in Nocalo. I have no presence there at all.

That was all about the RP.
