I suggest somewhere around 7 mil defense which should drastically decrease the amount of people able to hit you.

No kidding. Naquitis taxes me at 25%, then kicks it back to me so that even if I get hit hard, I still have enough to rebuild and imporve. In the less then 24 hours since I rejoined as his officer, taxes have yielded a little over 16 mil.

I'm looking forward to that cahs, I think I'm gonna buy me a nice, shiny templeship. Lets see me get hit then.

Superweapons are insanely cheap to repair after an assault. Maybe I should consider shifting most of my offense to them. Plus, it's so comforting to know I don't need to worry about sabotage.

Well, that did apply before, but apparently my production was rising rather fast...

I think they're able to be sabotaged...

From reading the forums, it'll take a tons of spies to do it and it's most likely not going to happen anytime soon.

Odd, my purchase of a templeship didn't increase defense as much as I thought, only by about 200 k

I posted a page or two earlier that the naquadriah used on the superweapons compared to regular troops favor the troops in effectiveness. Still, the cheap repair costs do sort of balance it out and other few things about the super weapon (such as the possibility of it reducing enemy's effectiveness).

I saw that, but the analysis didn't take into account the cost f replacing troops. Asisde from the naq for them, there is also the production loss as production is based off UU. I suspect that long term ships will be the best value.

Course if I'm wrong, its my ass.

Superweapons are the best value. 1k UU and 10+ million per weapon will just be change later on in the game when incomes are high.

It's when you should start buying them is the question.

Well, after I cycled most of my troops in preperation of a counter-assault during the assault on Crystalforce Gamma (which never came, thankfully), I found myself in a rarther interesting position. My troop level was quite low, just my supersoldiers, and I had a very large abundance of population that was unused for naq production due to the risk of farming. Thus, I bought a sizeable share of superweapons as a sort of experiment. So far, its worked out rather well; I've risen several hundred ranks in the last few days, and I don't seem to be in danger of falling much. I may have miscalculated, something only time can tell, I suppose. We shall see.

In other news, it seems that the attack was more effective than originally anticipated. Crystalforce has dropped significantly in the last few days, and has lost several members. In addition, it seems they discarded their earlier attempts to get war reperations from us.

From having a chat with Sabben, it seems their leader, Darth Revan, isn't really communicating with his members so they seem to have a rather scattered breakdown.

I'm out of turns but this person name joe is pumping some serious naq at 18 million as of this post. Spy him first though as the last check I made, he was at 3.8 million defense.

Damn, he must be pumping 3 mil a turn. He's at 21 million.

Anyway, I figured I caused him about 15 million in damages including troops and weapons, so you're going to have to dig that out of the coffers Ire. I'll probably switch to be your commander after I get my 15/16 million from Beowulf so I can 'repay' back.

With 15% tax, it should be paid by the end of the day.

Don't worry about it, the money comes out of the alliance stash anyways, not mine. Of course, I'm only dispensing reimbursements once or twice per person for this. It's a learning experience.

Unless you erase your messages systematically (like I do), the transfer should have been recorded. Can someone check? Perhaps it was someone else...
