Making officers de facto judges of what constitutes appropriate behaviour in public is ridiculous. Unless swearing is specifically prohibited?

Might I suggest the US or Canada? Both very nice places, even if the United States do need a bit of tidying-up recently.

In the town I used to live in here in the US, we had someone taken to court for "swearing in the presence of a minor". The WHOLE story is that this person was starting a gan and the police whated to harrass him out of town, and in fact, they did. Interestingly though, some words considered swearing in the UK, are not understood as such here in the US, proving that words are merely sounds, the meanings we assign to them.

I believe "goddamn" is a word that wouldn't be allowed on TV pre-watershed, unlike here. The US would be the last place I'd move to get away from this crap. I always liked the idea of either Canada of some quiet place in Australia or Japan.

Let me just say, anyone suggesting moving to Canada to get away from this sort of shit is fucking delusional. That is all.

Then that leaves only two options; my image of Canadia is tainted.

From conversations with my cousins in australia australia really is no worse for censorship, cutting films tv shows etc to pieces to remove "offence".

And yet they happily show tits on TV in both Australia and Canada... makes one wonder about their priorities. :?

They say Italy is great if you're looking for tits on TV.

And for nothing else.

Remember, in Italy blasfemy can get you fined in the hundred-euros range or more (maximum fine is 5.000 euros), though it's rarely enforced and the Catholic Church has a very firm grip on the Parliament.

And of course with 85% of TVs and newspaper directly or indirectly controlled by Dear Premier political information is somewhat skewed, and satire sometimes is censored...

I don't recommand it.
