Were Yoda and Obi-Wan the only Jedi left in ANH?

True, I misread the OP.
However there was Elegos Itkla's uncle who dodged the purge but didn't dodge the Death Star.
Who? Was he a jedi on Alderaan or something?

He was a Caamasi Jedi, and Alderaan had a large Caamasi refugee population after their homeworld was slagged. He was also, on a side note, a friend of Corran Horn's grandfather, the Jedi Master Nejaa Halcyon.

There's also that old woman Jedi (Zima, IIRC) that Leia met on Nar Shadda in DE.

  • Master Qu Rahn (friend of Kyle Katarn's father Morgan, got killed right in the beginning of Jedi Knight several years after ANH)
  • Jedi Brand Empatyos or whatever his name was (the Jedi and King of Ganath in Dark Empire II, who had suffered an even worse fate than Vader on Mustafar and died along with the Emperor)
  • Jedi Vima-da-Boda (I'm not sure if we can count her as a Jedi, though, she seemed to have lost so much of her sanity)
  • Master Ood Bnar (once again, courtesy of DE II - that tree-like Jedi)
  • Belsarion the Hutt (the Hutt Jedi in Planet of Twilight)
  • Another Jedi - this time human female - featured in PoT, but I can't recall her name (she and Belsarion were engaged in some power struggle and I'm not sure if they can still be counted pure Jedi; they seemed to be much more interested in selfish goals than serving the will of the Force)
  • Master Ikrit (a rabbit-like, diminutive Jedi trained by Yoda; Ikrit was hibernating in Force trance during the Jedi Purge and had been in that state for couple of centuries, if I remember correctly; he was awakened by Anakin Solo and Tahiri in Junior Jedi Knights
That's all I can remember now.
Vergere - she wasnt really in the galaxy however

oh and Dark Jedi - Asajj Ventress (she leaves for the outer rim in Obsession)

Well, even if Windu survived, he'd lost a hand and his brain was fried (regardless of any other injuries incurred in the fall). Can you blame him for dropping out (no pun intended) of the story?

I think it would be pretty damn cool for some grimy, one-handed, half-dead old black man to come out of the Coruscant lower levels and try to kill "Skywalker", though.
woah woah woah...louise this isnt my batman glass, no seriously is it stated that Windu survives, cause that would be gay

It's never really stated anywhere what became of Windu after his little adventure out the window.

But hey, if KJA is going to write any more books for the EU I wouldn't be too shocked if we see a decrepit old black man come back from beyond the rim with a vendetta towards the Skywalker line.

That would be Vima-Da-Boda in Tiriol's listed.

In the first place, remember that Attack of the Clones indicated that, for all intents and purposes, a Padawan is not considered to be an actual Jedi Knight (much to Anakin's embarrassment when Senator Amidala consulted with the Queen's Advisory Council). Therefore, surviving Jedi Padawans like Corwin Shelvay (Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim), Kam Solusar (The Jedi Academy Sourcebook), Trig Kilwallen and his sister Ydra Sibwarra née Kilwallen (The Truce at Bakura Sourcebook), and neophytes like Sarcev Quest ("The Emperor's Pawns"), High Prophet Jedgar (The Dark Side Sourcebook), Beldorian the Magnificent (alias "Beldorian of the Ruby-Eyes," Planet of Twilight), Taselda (id.), and Roganda Ismaren (Children of the Jedi) do not really 'count' as Jedi, although certainly the Empire and its Inquisitorius maintained a keen interest in such people.

General Kenobi and Master Yoda were the only members of the High Council to have survived the Clone War and Order 66, and in that sense they were the only Jedi of any importance to have escaped. There were others to have escaped from Order 66, only to later fall during the Great Purge, hunted down by the Inquisitorius and Darth Vader. Jedi Masters known to have survived Order 66 but to have subsequently been killed include An'ya Kuro, the so-called "Dark Woman" ("Extinction"), Darrin Arkanian (Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim), Ranik Solusar (The Jedi Academy Sourcebook), and Echuu Shen-Jon (Galactic Battlegrounds). Among the few Jedi Masters to have survived altogether are Ikrit, Ood Bnar (Dark Empire II), Vima-Da-Boda (Dark Empire), Aqinos ("Droids, Technology, and the Force: A Clash of Phenomena"), Qu Rahn (Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II), K'Kruhk (The New Essential Chronology), and Winslau Da'k's anonymous Master (Gamemaster Screen for Second Edition), although it should be noted that Bnar and Rahn were killed after the Battle of Endor, and that Da-Boda vanished again.

A number of Jedi Knights survived Order 66, only to be hunted down and killed by "Darth Vader and his Dark Knights": Fifty or so Jedi refugees betrayed in the Hapes Consortium (The Courtship of Princess Leia), Sia-Lan Wezz (Galactic Campaign Guide), a fugitive hiding on Talasea (Rogue Squadron), Taj Junak, the so-called "Jedi ghost" of Mrlsst ("The Phantom Affair"), Aidan Bok (Galaxy of Fear: Ghost of the Jedi), and Ylenic It'Kla and perhaps a handful of others on Alderaan (I, Jedi). Jedi Knights known to have survived include Vergere (Agents of Chaos I: Jedi Trial), Empatajayos Brand (Dark Empire II), Callista Ming (Children of the Jedi), Colonel Tyneir Renz ("Idol Intentions"), and Aqinos's Iron Knights. Ming was disembodied as a sapient artificial intelligence aboard the Eye of Palpatine, Vergere was beyond the galactic rim, and Brand was isolated within an interstellar gas cloud near Nar Shaddaa (and was killed after the Battle of Endor).

There were, of course, 'survivors' who fell to the dark side and were thus more or less exempted from the Purge. These include Master Jedi Jerec (The Dark Side Sourcebook) and Tremayne KJ (Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim), who became active agents of the Inquisitorius, while the fallen Jedi Knight Quarmall was used as an Imperial agent provocateur (Gamemaster Screen). Interestingly, fallen Jedi Knights Halagad Ventor (Domain of Evil) and Danaan Kerr (Wanted by Cracken), and fallen Padawans like Winslau Da'k (Gamemaster Screen for Second Edition) and Byrch "The Padawan" Dyshkava ("Bartyn's Landing") had no affiliation with the Empire, being left alone as mere curiosities.

About the Jedi on Hapes from CoPL, wasn't that just a lie the Queen-Mother told Luke Skywalker?
