Oh yeah, and wait a second...how the hell are any of the pics in this thread sacreligious? Wouldn't this one be considered more of a sacrelige?
Image
But hey, I don't have a religion, so I can't very well say what is and isn't sacreligious.
But it would be very typical of Christians to have their priorities so out of whack that they'd think a picture of a religious figure holding a gun was some super-high offense, when compared to the actual atrocity of the above photo.
I wonder what these pro-Christian, anti-ChristiansWithWeapons people think of the Crusades, or the Spanish Inquisition, or Conquistadors, or the Swiss Army Knife.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

The problem with most zealot Christians is that they can't let thigns go.
I come from a sect of moderate dogmatics who prefer to live and let live.. they don't go out harassing non-believers to convert them.

Well, I'm no zealot, but I'll give my opinions. The First Crusade served a purpose, in attempting to stop the Muslim invasion of Europe and reclaim the ancient Christian cities of the Middle East (Jerusalem and Antioch in particular. The rest of the Crusades should not have happened.

The Spanish Inquisition was a horrible occurrence. It shows the dangers of letting the fundies take over.

The Conquistadores were also a bad occurrence. It came from over-zealousness of the invaders. They considered it their duty to convert everyone, which was unrealistic. They did in the name of religion what others did in the name of England or France.

I'm not sure why you want to know what Christians think of the Swiss Army Knife, but I think they're pretty cool. My dad has one, and I'd love to have one.

I agree that Swiss Army Knives are pretty slick. But Switzerland's a Catholic country (in theory), and they mass-produce handy-dandy instruments of death that also have tweazers and a toothpick.

Knife with a cross on it. Pretty creepy when you think about it.

Now, let me see if I can find the pictures of nude Our Lady of Guadalupe...
If you post that garbage, I'll kill you.
Not because it's sacrilicious, but because it's not real art.
But the one above is pretty funny.
Hm...I just looked around the 'net for a picture of a nude "Our Lady of Guadalupe"...but I couldn't find anything. It sounds intriguing...what the fuck is it?
It's a painting done by some ass of Mary. It looks like a 5-year-old's drawing of a distorted muppet, and has pieces of elephant dung on top of it, along with magazine cut-outs of women's vaginas and crotches surounding it.

It's just more of that "Aht" or anti-art crap that's only made to create controversy, and so has no artistic merit or value.

Simply put, it's sacrilage, and a piece of garbage. It's not art, and for that I hate it.

Piss Christ is my personal favorite. This guy got thousands of dollars of federal endowment money for PLACING A CRUCIFIX IN A JAR OF URINE.

The thing that pisses me off about that guy is he got so much money for doing nothing while REAL artists get nothing for makeing REAL art.

Yes. Another thing in a similiar vein that pisses me off is really abstract art- i.e. a column of twisted metal, a canvas with paint randomly splotched on it, and, in some cases, blank canveses, that sell to artsy 'higher intellectual' museums for thousands.

That also have tweezers and a toothpick? Also!

What rock have you been under? The tweezers and toothpick are obviously the most dangerous parts, and were placed there specifically to subvert our good, god-fearing nation and help the terrorists.

Geez, you'd think people would pay more attention.
