That was fun. A tad unrealistic, I mean the Ent-D destroying the Executor?:P

But man it was enjoyable, made my day. :D

Well if it was realistic it would just be ISDs vaping ST ships in one shot and such. It would be boring.

Someone spent a lot of time making that. If only the people who made the actual series had half the imagination of the fan boys. Bravo.

Overall it was rather impressive. More than just clip clip editing.

"Realism" is not really the right word, it's all a fantasy. "Honest" would probably be the right word.

But who cares it was fun to watch lol. The good guys always win :P.

That just proves the Enterprise crew can't tell the difference between 'watts' and 'tons'.

They must have been LTLs set on low power to just act as a warning shot.

(yeah I realize the thing was not realistic)

That was fun. They probably could have avoided some problems by cutting in one of the SD blowing up rather than the Executer nose diving. The E-D taking out a SSD was an eyeroll in an otherwise fun little thing.

It was fun (and at least they didn't show the E-D shrugging off the superlaser blast  ).

Very cute, considering the limited source material.

So long as it's advertised as Star Wank: The Next Ejaculation vs. Star Wars, replacing "Enterprise" with "Wankerprise" in the description, then it's just good old wanking to blowing a lot of shit up, and there's certainly nothing wrong with that. :D

Decently done wanking aside, especially the TIE fighter bits.

Hm, a quick sidetrack about the 20 megawatts thing... I've heard people say it was bullshit before, as in bad science, but why? Isn't a megawatt an SI unit of measure? It would just mean that you need a consistent beam over several seconds to lower shields. That is 400 megajoules would mean nothing, but 400 megawatts would mean exposure to 400 megajoules per second, and if shields in Star Trek need sustained fire to bring them down it could make sense to rate them that way.

Okay an elaboration on what I mean. Worf says he has trouble reassembling the shields. This means shields "recharge" a certain rate. To penetrate shields, you would need to get over this recharge per second. Shields that need to be charged are supported by TNG Yesterday's Enterprise where they raise the shields before the battle happens, and even explains TNG Rascals where instantly raised shields do absolutely nothing to stop two BOP.

This would only make sense if the recharge rate kept going up as the shield capicators built up charge for some reason. Like starting up, the shields would charge very slowly but as time goes by the shields charge faster and faster.

So maybe it would make sense to rate weapons fire this way if the most important thing is getting over this regeneration of shields in Star Trek. Of course that would mean an absolutely pathetic amount of shields, that could be lowered by anything from 20 megawatts to 400 gigawatts, 400 gigawatts being the upper limit of reassembling the shields. It would also place a hard figure on the hull of the Enterprise-D at being being able to withstand 20 megawatts or 2e7 joules or 5 kilograms of TNT all the way up to 4e8 J or 95 kilograms of TNT, but that's not really a problem if we take the long charging up = stonger shields theory.

Can 5 grams of TNT even get through modern day materials? It sure makes the ship shake like hell lol.

It'd also mean one kilotons per second TIE fighter guns should get through the shields in a single hit, at least against shields that haven't had time to charge up for awhile, but we already knew that .

Ah, 20 megawatts was the TIE fighters, the ISD took down the shields with 2-3 hits.

Clearly there were two SSDs, the one destroyed had a clone of Piett aboard, while the Executor remained unharmed. :P

Yes, and count how many times the E-D shield's go down.

That's actually the way the Enterprise-D shields work, at least in this episode. The shields go down a lot in the episode they ripped it from, it's all from that one episode where they found the Dowd and fought the Husnock illusion battlecruiser.

If it was strange for the shields to recharge quickly, I think Worf would have went "what the fuck". Never thought about this before but this shoots down the claim that Enterprise-E = uber because of regenerative shields. In this episode the Enterprise-D shields seem to be regenerating pretty quickly.
