I wonder if perhaps his body compensates with microsleeps during repetive activities.

The claim's amazing, even if it's not likely to be true. It'd still be potentially useful to put this guy through a study. If he's being honest, however his brain chemistry's been alterred could be useful, and it possibly could be fixed.

I doubt he's a complete insomniac. No one is there to keep an eye on him all the time, and he probably naps for a few hours every day.

While highly unlikely, he probably does what I used to do, and get two or three hours of sleep every couple of days.
