There are approximately 32,000 women in the U.S. military, comprising about 13 percent of the total U.S. Armed Forces. These amazing pictures tell the rest of the story.
When discussing the history of women in combat, one might think of Joan of Arc who in 1429, at age 17, successfully led French troops into battle against the English. Hundreds of women disguised themselves as men to fight in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. Beginning in 1942, separate military services for women were established, but women did not gain professional military status until 1948 when President Truman signed the Women's Armed Services Integration Act which limited their number to 2 percent of the total military.
Pictures. Pretty much just girls, most but not all good looking, in uniform, doing military things.

Part 2:
Yesterday we posted a series of amazing photos of women in the military and got an overwhelming response. The following pitures are quite powerful and very likely will change your thinking about the military.
From the days of the American Revolution to the conflict in the Iraq and today, throughout the World, American women have and are honorably serving in defense of our Nation. In times of war and peace, women have responded to their country's call.
Their contributions are characterized by individual and collective acts of self-sacrifice, patriotism, dedication and personal heroism. While many would say these women are flirting with disaster, the amazing pictures here show us a much softer side of military life.
Pictures. Girls, all hot, not all in uniform, almost all in sexy poses or positions.

I just want to point out that most of the women in these photos (but not the first part) are in the Israeli army which drafts all men and women at the age of 18 for 3 years (men) and 2 years (women.)
Is the second link really all women from the Israeli defense force? .
For some reason the second link is not working, is it only me?

Looks like a Heckler und Koch, G36 possibly. And it's a combination of her being short, low angle camera, and the gun being closer to the camera than she is.

Bwhaha, actually, I'm just kidding -- she's Ana Hickmann, just a model on a photo-op for the BAF, and not the first female pilot to graduate from the Academy; Daniele Lins, the girl below, is the first:
She and the airwoman on the T-29's wing are cute, nevertheless.
