They're the pictures of your ships, and it usually also includes your race portrait, your empire's icon, etc. You can download them and you'll get a folder containing all the pictures. In the Adamant mod folder you'll find a pictures folder, and in that folder you'll find a races folder. That's where you should them.

BTW, Gups, your shipset's cool, despite being a repaint of the Tholians'. But despite the fact that we of the Alliance like to think of ourselves as a friendly people, if you try and make us kneel before Zod...well, we'll see just how "super" the Kryptonian Enclave really is.

Then I want to fight a grim battle against the unlikely duo of the Terminator and Robocop. Well the site did some funky "GameUpload" download shenanigans when Kojiro tried to upload his turn file. Screw it, I'm going to bed.

And now I'm home sick.

Kojiro's Transformers Shipset.

EDIT: It was missing a few ships, but I fixed it.

Alright. Game is getting set up. Should I use an 'ideal multi' galaxy, or the 'sectors' idea we had earlier, where there's a cluster of 6 or 7 systems, linked to far away clusters?

Just ran a sim, got the chaff missile working by setting the firing strategy to "nearest, smallest, most damaged, strongest".

Image

For the Chaff Missile to work properly I think you have to use the "Long Range Pre-Fire" mount, and use either maximum range or optimal range, not point blank. Because your ship will always fire second in response to their missiles, basically your ship's going to have to be out of range of their missile for at least one round. Most seekers are speed 6, so you need to stay at least 6 away from them for the Chaff missile to fire I think. But strangely enough, sometimes the Chaff fires, sometimes it doesn't, AI buggy.

<edit>I think the AI bug can be fixed if you set "smallest, nearest, most damaged, strongest" so they'll always target the smallest thing aka a missile. PD being one range in this game, chaff missiles might be useful.</edit>

I'm completely unfussed. I like the clusters idea though.

Also, having had a play around now...I miss my vorlon tech.

Cluster seems like a good idea.

Though I'm going to be snatching up as many clusters as I can. Lol.

Got a clusters map going. What tech to start with again? I know tech costs are medium.

It was low start right? Cause medium gives you IR and X-Ray 6 and 600 kT hulls right from the start?

And Low tech cost, cause there's no PBW advanced research and it takes forever to research propulsion?

Man you forget easily you were the one who suggested those :P.

Oh yeah, and high resource start please.

Ouch. I checked medium starting tech. It's a very extensive package. We'll start low tech, with low cost.

Medium tech gives about half of the 'basic' tech trees. So that's like level 6 in improved lasers too.. a bit too much.
There. :)

I think something screwed up because it wont let me take my turn something about different files to when the mpire was created. Or something like that. Any suggestions ?

The empires file on your computer should be irrelevant. Try installing version 1.5.0.4 and running it again.

You need to install Neph's patch.

Oh and a lot of people got the shaft. I got three unpleasant planets and two mild planets. Looks like BSG and Flower people lucked out and got good starting planets :P.

<edit>Nm, the patch was for ST Mod, gragh.</edit>

<edit>Heh heh first turn in suckers!</edit>

How can you tell? And that only affects pop growth. I have good racial tolerance for example.
