They say its natural causes. I'd prefer him getting executed, but he's still dead.

This being a European court, I don't think the death sentence was on the cards in any case.

Actually, it's the UN tribunal (and yes, they don't pass death sentences. There are precedents, such as the Nuremberg trials).

*Shrug*

The maximum sentence the Tribunal can hand down is life imprisonment. I can live with that. Let 'em rot in a prison cell for the rest of their life.

Having spent much of 3rd grade in a bomb shelter beacuse of this asshole I would still rather see him convicted for life.
This could make him a martyr in the eyes of some people.

No. (IIRC, it's the Secretary-General of the UN that decides on that.) You can read about the UN tribunal in the BBC article below:

BBC wrote:Milosevic found dead in his cell

Former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic has died in the detention centre at The Hague tribunal.

The tribunal said he had been found dead in his cell on Saturday morning. The cause of death is not yet clear.

Mr Milosevic, 64, has been on trial at the UN war crimes tribunal for genocide and other war crimes since 2001.

The tribunal last month rejected a request by Mr Milosevic to go to Russia for medical treatment. He had high blood pressure and a heart condition.

The tribunal has ordered an inquiry into the death.

"Milosevic was found lifeless on his bed in his cell at the United Nations detention unit," the tribunal said in a statement.

"The guard immediately alerted the detention unit officer in command and the medical officer. The latter confirmed that Slobodan Milosevic was dead."

Charges

Mr Milosevic faced charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity for his alleged central role in the wars in Bosnia, Croatia and Kosovo during the 1990s.

He also faced genocide charges over the 1992-95 Bosnia war, in which 200,000 people died.

Mr Milosevic was in office for 13 years until 2000.

European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana said he hoped the death would help Serbia finally to come to terms with its past and allow it to look to the future.

Mr Milosevic's brother Borislav was quoted by Interfax news agency as saying that the international war crimes court was "entirely responsible" for his death.

Good riddance to an asshole who managed to affect in a bad way some 20 million people's lives to some extent.

I personally didn't lose anyone close in the war, but I know people for who's losses this idiot is ultimatly responsible. Plus there is that kid in primary school who got all torn up by one of the "little bells" from a cluster bomb (thankfully, he survived with only really nasty scarring). Like Kane Starkiller I'm intimatly familiar with several basements and actual bomb shelters from that time.

All that can be traced to that idiot.

Sorry, I'm rambling, this is the first place I've found the news so I'm a little emotional.

I'm really glad that chapter of history is closed. My only regret is that the fucker didn't get jailed for life. It would have been a much more stronger symbolism.

... We just had a speech on the guy on Friday in Public Speeking class by one of the law students... guess it's a bit moot now.

This reminds me of when my big 7th grade final project was on Nepal, and then the royal family got assassinated two days before I had to turn it in :P.
"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia
