Windows XP up and running on Intel iMac
Apparently, someone wrote his own CSM to get the job done. Yes, now you too can run an inferior operating system on your Intel iMac.
But the guy doesn't detail how he did it. He's just got pictures. It looks authentic, but the people running The Contest will have the final say.

That's awesome. I hope they write some kind of driver for it to use the Mac graphics card though.
I suppose the alternative is to get an Intel PowerMac when it comes out and put a PCI PC graphics card in it in addition to the Mac card.
The Intel Macs still use Mac cards, right? Not regular PC GPUs?
Also, it seems someone else has also managed to do it...

They use normal PC cards now. No need to reflash the bios anymore.Praxis wrote:I suppose the alternative is to get an Intel PowerMac when it comes out and put a PCI PC graphics card in it in addition to the Mac card.

Well... the only Mac that accepts add in cards IIRC, is the Power Mac, which has yet to be released in a Intel form.Seggybop wrote:They use normal PC cards now. It has been confirmed, the contest has been won and the solution shall be released to the public soon, scratch one more for the community trashing stupid security measures, took them just 20 days to make the intel mac windows compatible

Stupid security measures? Apple did nothing to prevent Windows from booting.Shogoki wrote:Update:
