That's a fucked up .gif.

At first I thought it was some weird kancho reference, and then it just got worse...

No you aren't alone. I'm giggling insanely because after viewing that I don't know what to do.

That .gif was horribly sick but I also found it funny. If I had a set of balls and a dick I probably would be worried but I don't so I find it funny :teeth:

I vaguely recall it from some film. It certainly is not real.

No, well between my computer graphic learning and my fondness for freak weather patterns, I'd bet $100 that that is indeed real.

I'm guessing it probably isn't, if for no other reason than the perspective of the camera would be highly unusual/awkward for a real camera position.

I can't say for sure whether that particular picture is real, but I did see weather very much like that once so it definitely isn't impossible.
When two opposite points of view are expressed with equal intensity, the truth does not necessarily lie exactly halfway between them. It is possible for one side to be simply wrong.

Yeah, I've been out in small boats and seen weather like that coming. We always made for shore AFAFP (as fast as fucking possible). A ship that size could handle it, but the crew would be eating cold meals straight from a tin.

It's apparently real, it's a picture of 'shelf clouds', as discussed on snopes.

I do believe now, since I got someone to explain the likely position the camera would have been at. I thought the boat looked a bit too skew for that, but I see now that it actually would be almost perfectly positioned to someone at exactly the edge of the boat :).
