Well, that was hillarious. Another proof that some use religious feelings as a show to fool up the masses.

I think the best part was when after the Imam has start going completely nuts the other guy grabs the mic and starts waving his hand in the air like he's at a rave or something, which really sealed the entire joke.

The music makes it hillarious. And how they all start simultaneously imitating and trying to restrain him.

Did anyone else think it looked like the Imam was getting a blowjob right before he got pulled down?
A Government founded upon justice, and recognizing the equal rights of all men; claiming higher authority for existence, or sanction for its laws, that nature, reason, and the regularly ascertained will of the people; steadily refusing to put its sword and purse in the service of any religious creed or family is a standing offense to most of the Governments of the world, and to some narrow and bigoted people among ourselves.

Yes, and everything after the two men came to him looked like it was building up to a blowjob.

Now only if we could add caption.

I like how the guy on the right half-heartedly joins in until you can just see him thinking 'fuck, this is stupid' and tries to help restrain the Imam.

I actually hate the music. I think it'd be much funnier if you had subtitles to hear what he was ranting about when slapping himself on the head.
"If one needed proof that a guitar was more than wood and string, that a song was more than notes and words, and that a man could be more than a name and a few faded pictures, then Robert Johnson’s recordings were all one could ask for."

:wtf: I must say I would almost think that it was satire, though alas I know fanatically religious types too well for that.

The date says the video was posted Feb 20th - is this after the election in the end of January?

So, I guess in answer to the thread title, we should say he's in ecstasy, no? Or at least getting there.

This video is from 2005, at least. I remember seeing it last spring but with a different song playing in the background. I had no idea it was an Imam though.

This was uploaded by someone, after he recieved it through email. Its apperently pre-election.

Am I the only one who is somehow comparing the religious nutjobs who act like this to the Babbling people in Snow Crash?
Useless geek posting above.

After much searching, I have finally ascertained the title and lyrics of the song. Ladies and gentlemen, I present...BALLA DA LI.
George Michael... aha
Michael Jackson... hi hi
Elton John... yeah yeah
Boris Becker... öööö öööö
Pavarotti... oh oh
Haiduc...
Non so che fare a diventare cosi

When will you and I, be a star
Glamour parties, a new car
London Rom Paris, there calling me
Lights, camera, action now your on TV

CHORUS
Questo va fuori a tutti i djs
This one goes out to all the djs
Tu balla e balla tu balla con noi
Balla qui con me il ritmo veloce

HOOK
Balla da li di la
balla di la da li,
balla da li di la,
sha la la la la

VERSE 2
David Beckham... yeah yeah
Dolly Buster... ohhhh ohhhh
Robbie Williams... aha
Britney Spears... ooooops
Elvis Presley... yeah yeah
Haiduc...
Non so che fare a diventare cosi

When will you and I, be a star
Glamour parties, a new car
London Rom Paris, there calling me
Lights, camera, action now your on TV

EDIT: In my search, I also learned that the iman who is hitting his head in the video is supposedly a Shia cleric in Iraq who was held in very high esteem. Apparently, he was assasinated in Iraq in 2003. True or not, I don't know, but that's what my search turned up.

That makes much more sense, since Shias are more into self-abuse than Sunnis.

Music is subjective, the fact that you disregard this as real music dosn't mean that some people don't enjoy it.

Hmm, getting a copy of that song is kinda hard...

As for it being music or not, it's catchy, I like it, that's what matters to me, who cares if you don't like it.
