If Star Trek Elite Force counted?

Post by FaxModem1 »

would the Federaion do better against the their enemies, such as the Klingons, Romulans, Dominion and Borg when Voyager arrives home and these weapons are put into mass production?

Don't forget the armor, transporters put to good use (to store gear in the "pattern buffer" etc) and even helmets!

I don't think so however, according to the odd canon rules for Star Trek though... too bad. ; P

But yes, assuming their enemies hadn't already crushed the federation, and they were put into mass production and soldiers were trained in their use, they'd kick some serious butt!

Yeah but dedicated troops would be too much for the feddies fragile sensabilities.

Um...last time I checked, the Klingons are allies of the feddies, Martok himself loves humans. The feddies have no actual soldiers, they used security officers for ground battles, which was a huge mistake; security officers were trained to repel intruders in the tight confines of decks, not fight bio engineered psychotic aliens on an open field.

Anyways, if the hazard team existed, it would be a credit to trek, because the hazard team was pretty cool.:)

Can you imagine it? The feddies having an actual gorund force to fight with other Empires. The sad thing is the Hazard team will neve be seen again.

Unless there is a sequel. :D

Actually, Federation ground troops have an advantage, since enemy troops will probably mistake them for a pajama party and let them go. If they see the phasers, they'll probably think it's some sort of dustbuster. If they threaten to use weapons, the enemies will laugh to death. They don't need primitive armor or ergonimic weapons when tehy have spandex tops!

What if Star Trek:Borg counted? In that one you are a cadet whom Q
has decided to grant a chance to change the battle of Wolf 359. With
Q walking you through each step, would the Feds do better then?

Nope, it was only 39 feddie starships of varius suckiness against a ship that make a damn GCS look like a NCS. Back then, they didn't have any sort of effect weapons/tactics to combat a cube.

It doesn't change the basic problem that Starfleet ground forces are badly inadequate. They've got no armor and no artillery we've ever seen (except the photon mortar in TOS which has never cropped up again.)
