--Okay, I can't seem to get diplomacy to work and it's really interfering with my ability to survive when there are empires that have plenty of room to grow.
-I will accept a treaty and it won't activate...
-I will send a treaty, gift, or trade which I'm told is accepted and it won't activate.
-The timing shouldn't be important (i.e., who sends what at what time), but maybe it is?
-Modification of the message shouldn't be important, but it's something I've changed before....
-Could installation of the other empires shipsets, etc. go wrong (maybe I put some files in the wrong place)?
-My empire's political savvy is non-existant, but I thought that this only counts for the amounts received from trade....
-Is there a known bug in the Adamant mod? I couldn't find one....
--If anyone has any ideas let me know......

You have to do diplomacy at the end of your turn.

It's a bug in SE:IV. If you do anything... look at a ship, change the research, go to intelligence, anything other than close that window after doing diplomacy and clicking end turn and yes, diplomacy has a chance of being lost.

If it is spam filter you can go to the PBW's options and turn off "send turn with e-mail." Then it should get through the spam filter. You'll have to go to PBW to download it every time but at least you'll get the notification.

--HOLY SPACE MOTTS!!!! I had no idea! This could easily explain things I believe....
-Oh, I've been forgetting to ask. How much space junk does the game tollerate. I already know about the 100 mine per sector limit, but what about sats, figs, etc. I think I saw a 20k limit for the game, but are there limits per player/system/sector/etc.?

You can send more than one message, as long as you do nothing but send messages then end your turn.

100 sats per sector 100 mines per sector default, Adamant might change that (settings.txt) I know for ST it was 120/120. 20k limit per player (unless Neph forgot to change it from 100 to 20k, probably not since I reminded her :P when you're creating a new game this is one of the things to watch for). Planet limits are based on cargo, satellites, weapons platforms and mines are cargo.

--Okay, so I can have nearly unlimited figs running around shooting asteroids or whatever? The max active mines/sats over a planet are 120/120 right?

I am not sure a lot of your questions could be answered here but I'm not sure whether it's 120/120 or 100/100. Doesn't matter to me yet. And yes you can have 1000's of fighters running around if you want, but orbital fighters have no engines and you can't move them.

If they launch from a planet they launch 10 at a time I think so you might want to prelaunch the fighters and keep them hovering over your planet... they'll know you have fighters then of course.

--I will be gone from Apr. 5 to Apr. 8th (job interview thing) and would like to know if anyone would object to a delay in the game during that period. I understand this can be done by delaying the turn execution until all players have their turns in.

I will also be gone on the 6th and 7th for the same reason.

I'm going to be gone today and most of tomorrow, so don't expect a turn from me until tomorrow (Friday) evening.

What a shooting fest. Decided to test my defenses eh.

So how many Clark Kents died in that raid?

Heh, I was hoping to overwhelm your defences and have some slip through. Stupid, sure, but it's not like I was doing anything else with them.

So some Kryptonians die for the glory of Zod. This is proper.
