I have it on pre-order, it ships today and is supposed to arrive in stores tomorrow.

I'm still playing the first game- I beat the game and beat Ansem, and I've since beaten the Ice Titan and Phantom, but I have yet to beat Kurt Zisa (the hidden Agrabah boss) and Sephiroth (mommy! He takes off over half of my health per hit! I'm lucky to take down his purple bar halfway, considering he has that invisible health bar before you actually start hurting him).

Beating Sephy is really a case of making sure you can deal with his Heartless Angel attack.

Cast an Aero line spell to reduce his damage by half, avoid his attacks by dodge rolling, and when you hear him start to say "Descend, Heartless Angel" either strike raid him or superglide over to him and hit him with Ars Arcanum or your attack combo.

(Of course, being level 100 and having the Ultima Weapon keyblade hardly hurts either)

Also with Sephy, you can simply take an Elixer when he does his heartless angel attack. Thats what I do. Then just pound him with a powerful Keyblade. I use Oblivion and Metal Chocobo.
Kurt Ziza is a waste of time. All you have to do is pound on him. I don't
recall if you get anything for beating him. I beat him the first time I faced him and have not tried it since.

After the letdown that was KH: Chain of Memories, I hope that part 2 is better.

Against Sephiroth I just kept using the attack that let me chuck the Keyblade (Can't remember the attack name, dont think it was Sonic Blade) whenever he teleported away to do the 1hp attack. Even if it didn't hit him and knock him out of the attack, youre still invincible as long as you keep throwing the keyblade. Actually, that was a cheap way to beat a LOT of bosses for me on Expert, because that got pretty rediculous.

And goddamn I can't wait for tomorrow. Got no work, got no class, the girl is at work all day...looks like some quality gaming time the likes of which I haven't done since high school.

Yeah I've been told all about that but never got to that point. I'm level 60 now, but I've got this wonky wireless controller since my sister lost the wired one (gah) which makes it much harder. Maybe I'll borrow someone's wired controller just for beating Sephy.

My love of SE finally overrode my dislike of all things Disney- but I'm still playing through the first one. I'll get the second one though. Probably not Chain of Memories because I hate card-based crap like that.

I feel like such a little girl.

Get your ears tested. Heartless Angel is the attack that reduces you to 1HP. Just like it does in FFVII.

GODDAMN the Gummi Ship missions are awesome!

So far I have nothing but great things for this game. The intro, while long, was perfect, the combat system with the Triangle button moves is smooth, the soundtrack is stellar, and the story is pretty strong.

Okay, I am a few hours into the game, and it is REALLY confusing. So I have to ask, how much more of this would I understand if I had played Chain of Memories?

My brain almost exploded at the end of the fourth day.

This game must be REALLY long, since I'm about five hours into the game and I *just* got my first spells.

I'm playing on Normal mode...but the game seems way too easy so far.

It seems to wrap itself up nicely by the end of the intro. I never played Chain of Memories either, but I have a decent grasp of whats going on, I think

Basically, the only point of Chain of Memories is to a) introduce Naminé and the 13th Order, b) give an excuse for a time difference between KH1 and KH2, and c) reset Sora's abilities.

Then I take it Roxas wasn't in Chain of Memories?

Nope, he wasn't. I didn't play it but I have friends who did.

I played CoM and to elaborate, he wasn't in the game in person, but if he was heavily hinted at by Vexen and other 13th members. CoM also introduced Twilight Town.

That's right, I forgot that bit...

Seriously, though, the storyline of Chain of Memories can be summed up in a few sentences. It's pretty simplistic - KH2 is much more comprehensive.

I bought it on Thursday (went out looking for the LE Guide Friday, but no one had it. Dammit). I've sunk about 22 hours into it so far, and just finished Agrabah and started Halloween Town.

Damn, it's fun.

The Gummy Ship part is so much better than the original. The editor could use some work, but it's decent enough. I built a ship early on, and I've been using it ever since, with only minor upgrades. Two first-level spreadfires, four 2nd-level cannons, the Gungier spear, and recently replaced the first-level gravity gun with Meteor. None of the Blueprints I've won are as good as what I've built. It's basically invulnerable (215 health), and has a shit-ton of firepower (520, although the Spear is 200 of that). I've got a variety of Teeny ships, but most recently I've been using a pair that are nothing but the third-level Spreadfire attached to some decoration. I occasionally take one that has 4 2nd-level cannons, but I haven't found it particularly necessary. A single teeny ship is hugely useful. Just wish I had enough Teeny space to put the 4th-level missile pack on!
Since I got the Draw ability, I've gone and gotten S-Rank on all the L1 gummy missions, which looks like it'll make it easier to get S-Rank on all the L2 missions. The L3 missions are still annoying the hell out of me. It's like I either hit S-Rank on them, or I fail them. There's just too much incoming fire to dodge, and every hit knocks points off.

I did the first Coliseum mission at L21, and it was brutal. I barely beat the Finals, and actually failed once when some Lancer heartless knocked me from 70% health to 0% in about 6 seconds.

I'm not actually playing it, but I've spent the weekend either doing homework or watching my roommate play it. Very nice game. As for the voice work, we've got David Warner -- 'nuff said...
