It was an orbital weapons platform called Sol, IIRC and Tetsuo lost an arm through his shield.

True(it has been some time since i saw akira)

But the fact that he survived is very impressive. He also did manage to block tank, and laser shots fired at him.

I never really liked being a nerdboy much anyway... only the people with double X chromosomes are important...

Fine, then any cool anime villain will do. Let's see... Nakago, Kageyama Reiji, Shishio, Saitou (not exactly a villain but he's so badass...), Treize, etc.

All the cool anime villains die in such a RIDICULOUS cop-out way! Treize LET himself die, Nakago only died because his powers were sealed off at the last moment, and there are so many other examples...

Who I would be: An non-jobbered Tetsuo would be sweet, but if I were to pick someone more down-to-earth it would be Ranma. Being a martial-arts prodigy par-excellence with physical abilities that put most comic superheros to shame would kick ass. Not to mention living longer than normal. If Cologne and Happosai could do it, he could do it BETTER.

What I would want: You know, a mind-linked cabbit WOULD be nice...
