Fun stuff. I come back from my break and my defensive rate is like 2800%. Med one is ~1500% too, so I have about .34% death rate. That's nice, though I'm looking at the ways I have to get my birth rate up for where that whole gain/loss rate will stablize.

Heh. I have a .11 death rate.

In other news, whats with the exponential explostion in high-ranked players? I was in the mid 200s yesterday, and now I'm at almost 500.

I'm not really sure what the deal is with the explosion of high rankers. As to the death rate thing...feh.

And the quick burst of high rankers can be attributed to Seven, as we had a few members jump in the rankings. Having the 40th best defense with no strike and then buying strike does a bit on the jumping.

You guys are slacking BTW.

How about forgeting about rank and working on what really matters. I've got 500k UP and I'm behind. The only person here that I see who has enough UP is A-wing_slash. All that you're going to do is fall farther in rank if you don't have the UP.

Forgive my ignorance on the subject, but why? I mean, I can see the benefit, money-wise, if you are logged on long enough to squirrel away every few million that you make from the pop buildup, but if one only logs in a few times a day, even if your defense is incredibly high, you're still likely to get most of it seized away. So, what's the point to that avenue?

My money machine is such that if I don't get on every hour, I am in farm territory. I just go on critical most of the time, and when I have a few hours, I get crazy cash. It's my experience that the mad production lays a foundation for even if you get farmed, in a few turns you've earned enough to match someone not focusing on it. Oh and focusing on your rank (unless you're really focusing on massive attack/def/spy), will get you swamped when I can match your week long efforts in a few hours.

Besides, if you use up all your trainable population for superweapons and spies like I do, you won't amass enough money in the short term for any significant farming. Hence my listed income as 119,661.

I don't know if you've kept up with the top dogs of main, but if you have, you'd know that a while ago a guy named JUAN took the 1st spot from no where. No one had seen him taking the spot, but he did. He did it because he had a 40k UP on main. He had so many UU that it was so easy for him to take rank. Chaos is moving so fast, that if you don't have the UP, you won't have the UU, and you won't have the income or the naq to ever be able to keep up. Yes, if you've got a lot of UU you're going to get farmed if you don't have enough defense. But to make a defense, you need naquadah. Income.
