Hmm. #28. Oh, well, could be worse, could be better. Look at the figures for Sweden. .
Oh, and Darth Revan: there is a "Lord Revan" on the board.
Though be careful as you only get one name-change.

I don't know whether he has a problem with it, though others might get confused, they might think you are a sockpuppet or something.Darth Revan wrote:Woops in that case I'm gonna change the name if he has a problem with mine.
Be sure to pick carefully if you do change it, and explain your reasons for the change (just PM an admin, the staff listing is in the Announceents forum - "Dalton" aka "the Wookie" is usually quick to respond on such things).
Well, forty-odd to eighty, at any rate. Knowing the Swedes, I'm not really that surprised.Darth Revan wrote:Well the figures are interesting. I couldnt believer theres a wopping 83% agnostic population in Sweden. The US is almost last but no surprises there.

"The rest of the poem plays upon that pun. On the contrary, says Catullus, although my verses are soft (molliculi ac parum pudici in line 8, reversing the play on words), they can arouse even limp old men. Should Furius and Aurelius have any remaining doubts about Catullus' virility, he offers to fuck them anally and orally to prove otherwise." - Catullus 16, Wikipedia

As to the OP, I get depressed whenever I see the US's place on lists like that.
I'm glad Middle Earth made the cut though.

As for Americas place on the list yeah 3-9% seemes a little low but that's 3-9% more than there were 50 years ago. That number can only go up.

I wonder, what counts as an athiest? The Japanese, for instance, are primarily Buddhists and Shintoists (or both, more than likely). So while they aren't into God, they are still aren't really athiests.

Taiwan #26, with 24%? Sounds hardly believable considering the amount of people in folk religion.
However since folk religion is vaguely defined, it's probably near accurate.

Bah, the problem with Sweden is that while people don't really believe, most don't really not believe either. (did that make sense?)
I think most Swedes have some vague belif in something, just not the Christian God, or this God, or that God. Makes it hard to get into a good argument until you run into "Livets Ord".

Aye, it's the curse of swedish blandness. I think it is mostly doe to the fact that 'we' are too damned afraid to make any kind of stand where we can possibly be proven wrong.Gustav32Vasa wrote:<snip>Sound like my mother. Well I know that most of the strong believers that I've met takes some kind of pride in that they can't possibly be proven wrong (in their world, that makes them right, of course).haard wrote:I think it is mostly doe to the fact that 'we' are too damned afraid to make any kind of stand where we can possibly be proven wrong.

North Korea only 15% atheists? If they really went out and surveyed NKoreans, they should have gotten 99% atheist if only because they would be pre-programmed to say so.
Or perhaps they define Kim-fellating as being a religion?

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things... their number is negligible and they are stupid. --Dwight D. Eisenhower
