The latest adventures of The Silver Fox are up at the Domus Publica, and I for one am continuing to delight in Publius's yarns. I'm sure there are others following the stories, so I thought I'd collect your thoughts on the identity of the mysterious Silver Fox.
The contenders:

Diego Antilles: Wealthy, has power and access to powerful people. In a position to know what's going on in the sector; seems to know of happenings before he should. Wears a ring on the same hand as the Silver Fox. Although he keeps busy as a prominent negotiator, this also allows him to plausibly slip away for days at a time, with nobody bothering to find out the specifics of his whereabouts.
Lieutenant Percival Avonstale, fresh out of the Academy.
Captain Tan Percival Avonstale: Wealthy and powerful, the prodigious and prominent officer has gotten far on pedigree and merit alike. He is capable and intelligent, and he's shown himself to be genuinely compassionate, snobbery aside. Like Antilles, he wears a ring on the same hand as the Silver Fox. It would likely be hard for an officer of his status to find the time to perpetrate the antics of the Silver Fox, although one can't discount the possibility of his loyal subordinates aiding him in his escapades (the Silver Fox is known to operate with men wearing authentic Imperial military uniforms).

Lamont Powellyne: I'm not sure whether or not the author intends him to be, but I find the fop son of the Governor to be an intriguing candidate. Lamont is (apparantly) dim-witted, and is (definitely) annoying to all who meet him. That said, he has perhaps more money and power than our other candidates, and far fewer responsibilities to hold him back from executing the Silver Fox's missions. In fact, his cloyingly preening personality would be the perfect disguise for the Fox ... completely expected so as to not draw attention, and annoying enough to keep anybody from caring to keep too close an eye on him.
