I'll treat that as a genuine question. It's a generic term - not mine, alas - for aggressive and abusive behaviour in any fandom that results in hectoring and other unlovable behaviour to other fans, authors, and anyone passing whio doesn't espouse a certain viewpoint, really. I think you know that. I probably could give you a list for some fandoms: I doubt there is coherent leadership. When I find an academic studying this, I'll let you know.

You'd be surprised what they give PhD's for--I can see a linguist or someone like that spending time on arguments like this one. I can't see anybody having too favorable an opinion of KT, though, what with her liberal use of death threats followed by the Crybaby routine.

I don't actually mind Traviss' exploration of Mandalorian language and culture, as from what I've seen much of it is pretty good, and adds overall to the universe. Its a shame she seems to be using it to form something of a cult.
