Need Help Creating Avatar

Post by Battlehymn Republic »

I'm trying to adapt a photo I shot of Picasso's "Au Lapin Agile" at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art for a 50x50 avatar (GIF). However, resizing the picture with Photoshop basically destroys it.

Are there any applications out there I can use to do this? Can someone do this for me, using a picture of the original painting?

50x50 is pretty damned small. I doubt you'd be able to see much of anything at that resolution, never mind something which is detail-rich.

If you post the picture, I'll give it a try. Does it absolutely have to be a GIF file? Those are seriously color-limted.

Is this ok?

And if you do decide to use it please just use your own host (or you may find something else up there instead  ).

Thanks for the version, MariusRoi. The following is for anyone else who'd like to try to get this within 50 x 50, GIF, and less than 15 kb.

I used a version fromhere. If you don't mind me trimming it down a bit (Crop off the bottom and the left side), I might be able to get it to look better.

That looks like nothing, honestly. You'd be better off just nabbing the head of the guy.
