I like the one in the OP. They turned their backs on each other a lot though. It would've been much shorter if either had taken that advantage.

I always knew that someday, someone would get stabbed because they were holding it the wrong way. Sometimes, in that exact way. Sometimes, it would be like:

Person pulls saber, activates. Blade intersects with crotch.

That Ryan from the first posted film has his own effects sight with some more lightsabre scenes which range from 4 second tech demos to an alternate take on the Ep II fight against Dooku.

I recognized that in the end credits .... I'm talking about the scottish theme that plays from the beginning and during the fight.

If you're referring to Gortoz a ran, it's sung not in Scottish but Breton.

Many thanks. It appears to be part of "Black Hawk Down" soundtrack

My pleasure. I found it very suitable for Art of the Saber, by the way -- made it far more meditative and in my opinion unconventional than bog standard fast and furious fight music.

I liked the Art of the Saber. The music made the fight feel like an emotional one, like two brothers fighting.

Duality was okay.

What is the obsession with the lightstaff? It has a number of problems that should limit its use. I personally prefer a single-blade saber, maybe two if I steal my opponent's, or a corpse's.

It's because in the hands of a master the lightstaff looks really badass and the final fight of Episode I really showed that off. Of course the problem is that 99% of the human population are not masters with it and therefore it only looks mediocre.

Anyone else watched Contract of Evil? The lightsabre battle is reasonably good, although suffers from too much flashy spinning and not enough actual fight. Makeup and costumes are brilliant and a look at the other three characters shows what Darth Maul should have looked like.

The best part about Contract of Evil is that Maul actually knows how to fight in that. It really shows him to be head and shoulders above his foes in terms of fighting.

I've seen it today, but I can't tell it impressed me too much. Those two "brothers" looked like taken from "Planet of the Apes" with all their monkey-style movement and roars. I'll take "Art of the Saber" any day instead of this.
