Starting another Adamant game, this one is exclusively for Australians and people whose sleeping patterns are so screwed up they might as well be living in the Australian timezone.

The bulk of the players are going to be people in my local gaming group, some of them playing for the first time, so it's going to be a light hearted game rather than an ubercompetitive exploitz game.

Can anybody who has the turn before this one stored on their hard drive do me a favor? Load the turn before this one and look at the score, and tell me what you see under my score for research points please.

<edit>That's turn 24, thanks</edit>

Hahahaha Guppy you stink your tactic let you into my home system but a few unarmed rocketships won't do much.

For the rest of you he sent in rocketships to blow past my satellite defenses, maybe ten of them. Five got through but then the next turn another five went through the warp point, I assumed it was just the same five but it turns out you sent five new ones so the five that'd already went through could explore my space unmolested.

They're not going to accomplish much though :P.

They're accomplishing a lot more than they would have sitting around in my home systems.

Could've scrapped them. Now they're just gonna end up space junk :P.

By the way Dalton how do you like me blockading your planet hahaha I was expecting you to build orbital fighters and kill those ships and save me maintainence guess not, I'm looking forward to fighting your fleet :P.

So. Random update for me.

If anyone wants my ships to look prettier for them, install this:

http://seiv.pbw.cc/Download/filelib/1341/BSG.zip

It makes those crappy scouts into actual Raptors, and fixes several larger shipclasses to look sensable. A battlecruiser is now a gunstar, the battleship is now a new-BSG style Galactica, and the dreadnaught is now Pegasus.

Thanks Kojiro!

So, what happens when you destroy a star? Create a black hole? I've never done it before... but I just might start.

I think you destroy everything in the solar system.

Good way to get rid of homeworlds. Don't tell me you have that technology already.

If you destroy the star, all the planets turn into asteroid fields. If you create a black hole or a nebula, I don't think there are even asteroids left, they're just gone. Of course, getting a stellar manip ship to the center of someone's star is easier said than done. Probably not that difficult for a minor system, but very challenging for a homeworld.

Let the AI take your turn, Kojiro?

The games are starting to pile up. I agreed to one turn per day, but so far it's been feeling more like two turns a day, sometimes three.

I think all games should be set to 72 hours.

One step ahead of you. The B5 game is already at 72 hours.

Honestly I missed my turn submision by literally seconds.

And yes the AI fucked me. I don't care though, except I seem now to be at war with someone I met by being given a com channel. Either way I don't care, I'm certainly not playing this competitively.

Bah you people are fucking insane, all three turns churned last night.

I'm going to be waiting for my "last player email" every single time for the next week and a half, I'm sorry, three turns a day is a wee bit too much for me :P. I could take five minutes every turn but then I'd suck and I don't want to suck, not that way.

Just took my STmod turn, so your mail should be on the way.

Why DID you people take on so many games anyway? Wouldn't it just be better to play one regularly until it's no fun, decide a winner, and do a new one?

You fucking bastard lol.

We finished our Star Trek Mod game. Nephtys and Zargat won lol. Then we started the B5 game and it was going so fast we decided to start Adamant, and another Star Trek game was supposed to be a continuation of the old one fighting the Empire but that didn't turn out well so it's just a normal killing. Fine by me :P.

By the way the Defiant's not the only thing to worry about, not by a long shot ha. Besides Sisko isn't riding shotgun anymore so it doesn't have a character shield.

Don't surrender to Nephtys. She uses her slaves as shoe shiners, see the last game.

Death to the remakes! Transformers, Neo-BSG, Lord of the Ring wannabes, etc.

I misread it at first and thought shoe liner instead of shoe shiner.

Hahaha you bit**, and you sent your nerdy friend to scout out my home systems and make sure I had nothing to fight back with. And you even brought one frigate just to deal with orbital fighters :P.

Good, bring it.

I wonder why the pace has picked up all of a sudden. We didn't always used to have 3-turn days.

Oh well, I'm loving it. :P
