Point and shoot. The E-E has repeatedly closed to under 1000 meters to engage, missing would be something you'd have to work at.[/quote]No, it wouldn't. I want evidence that it is not a fixed field weapon, meaning they could just stay away from that area. (and considering it comes out via a hatch from inside the ship, it will be limited by the edges of the hatch and the depth from the hull) I want evidence that it could lock on to a manuvering starship. Afterall the reference to "surgical accuracy" above was not referring to this weapon on the carriers. I want evidence that this is a standerd combat weapon (in which case I also want to know why it isn't in the game), and not a strategic weapon.

Scale the interceptors to the mile long Terran Battleships. The things are huge. There should have zero problem knocking them out of the sky. Then I want weapons power info indicating that the weapons on an interceptor could scratch the E-E.

And I am still waiting for an explanation concerning the fact that it could just go out and exploit the maximum range of photon torps instead of closing to the target.

Well, then, command centers are square mile and Terran marines are the size of mechs.
Take a look at the cutscenes. They aren't much bigger than ordinary fighters.

I don't have the CD with me to check, so I'd like to see some scaling work against those 1.3 km carriers of theirs. Especially since off the top of my head I don't remember any in the cutscenes.
As an aside, would you consider scourages to be about the same size, or fall with in the fighter scale?

The fact that it's never fired at a range greater then 10,000 meters, even against targets presenting a profile of nine square kilometers. In fact target that size got engaged at under one kilometer.

IIRC, you can see Interceptors in the end movie from the Protoss Campaign in SC.
Its quite difficult to get any correct scaling.
They are about half as big as a Mutalisk.
Which are maybe 2-3 times as big as Zeratul and Whats-his-name.
Who are I think a bit bigger than normal humans.
Which would mean that they are maybe 3 meters across.
This is all of the top of my head, so its bound to be (very) inaccurate.
Someone once judged the Terran BC to be about 200 meters long. I think he measured the size of the windows or something.
I think it is a very good one. Remember the cutscene final of Broad Wars ? There is the burial of the terran officer ? They show his coffin being dropped by the BC and the BC seemed to be around 10 times bigger than a human coffin...so 200 meters long is close to that. And the BC is said to be the biggest unity of SC, so the Carriers must be about the same size.
