COBRA vs the Axis!

Post by MKSheppard »

Your typical Cobra Force of Death & Destruction has been transported
back in time to France, 1944....can they defeat the Axis and set up a
COBRA stretching across Europe?

Who is in charge? Cobra Commander or Serpentor in this case or does it matter?

Uhhh...no, given that COBRA has the tactical ability of a kitten and routinely have the shit kicked out of them by American GIs.

I doubt it. The only reason COBRA lasted as long as it did was because of the need to sell more toys. :D

I just saw one of those cartoon episodes on CN. And an alternate version of Cobra actaully do beat the joes and conquer atleast america (maybe the world).

Unfortantly we also see Cobra's idea of modern warfare.

If you were to actaully give them a set of brains.... Sure. They have all sorts of gizmo's and weapons. Stiaght from the cartoon? hell no.

I wonder cartoon or comic books?

Cartoon...a well trained chimp could outwit them

Comic...they at least demonstrate some capability.

If we talking the COBRA from the cartoon, they get their butts kicked by the Axis. If it's the COBRA from the comics, I like they form an alliance with the Axis and fight the Allies.

I haven't read the comics but if cobra is anything like they are in the cartoon then they'll go down and go down hard. Cartoon Cobra has shown strategic and tactical incopetence so many times its not even funny any German Commander with half an ounce of tactical/strategic sense would hand Cobra its own ass.

Amazingly comic Cobra(though recently I have problems with the whole new comic...cool to read because it invovles little thinking but honestly...nano tech virus that will dissassmeble a person in seconds?!) actually have brains and use assassins, and techniques to allow them to fight on some equal ground as a decent fighting force aggainst a small group such as the Joes...though I still have problems with them owning(or used) a piece of land and claiming it a soverign nation...that and Serpentor.

Then again that still pales in comparison with cartoon Cobra and their Cobra-La thing.

If your talking about the comic then i say Cobra might set up an alliance with the Axis, but if your talking about the Cobra from the 80's toon, then nope, don't blame the toon GI-joe enemies because...

GI JOE was a toon of the 1980's, in the 80's you couldn't kill people on cartoons, it had to be a robot or some form of artificial life. People had to escape vehicles and they couldn't use bullets. They used Lasers.

I'd like to see you defend that position given the monumental incompetence that cobra has demonstrated again and again.

Super weapons?

Who knows...given that caroon Cobra used A-10 Warthogs as their aircraft of choice and the less said about their modified SR-71...the better. WTF was Marvel thinking?

Duck Tales had more pilot casualties than GI Joe...

Well, I've calculated the yield on the land mines dropped by the three missiles launched by the Cobra Imp to be more than enough to take out 80% of the population of Germany, with a bit of yield left over for Rommel in North Africa. Send two missiles over Germany, send one south to Algeria.

Yes, a single Viper in an Imp could do it. He could take the Axis.

Oh shit, I forgot about the Japanese and the Italians. Never mind.

And no one is going to tell us that most male Sci-Fi/Cartoon fans wouldn't want to see that.

Cobra has the most advanced technology - for example, their Night Raven heavy fighters (essentially modified SR-71s) are easily capable of outflying the Messerschmidt Me-262A (the fastest which the Axis can cope with) - but I think that they might be quite outnumbered.

Cobra needs a super weapon. They're utterly powerless without one, and still pretty screwed with it.

Cobra... Diet Coke of Evil. Less evil than the Dominion - There! I said it!

Axis of Europe. Evil. Evil concentrated. You know that evil in the hearts of men - yeah, that's it.

cartoon cobra commander VS. germany's elite generals like rommel? i would love to see that (if rommel dosen't shoot himself because cobra's tactics are so stupid and crazy) sereously a pack of girl scouts could take cobra if they had a leader whith half... no scratch that a quarter of a brain plus cobra soldiers coulden't hit the sky at two paces
