Yeah, yeah, I forgot to mention.. I finally got the game the other day and just got Sora and Co. - just got the new outfit actually... and I didn't care for Roxas...

Now this is just a wild guess, but is Roxas Sora's Nobody from when Sora was turned into a heartless in KH1, or is it just a completely different connection?

Finaly fought the second battle of Hollow Bastion. Holy hell, Tifa, Cloud and "Leon" kicked so much friggin ass! But prior to the start of the battle when ol' Silvery Sephi showed up... the intro was just so frigging random. I expect to see him atop a field of bones of suchlike, not a-poofing infront of Sora and Co.

Another question... Summon's who bother's with them?

Yes, Roxas is Sora's Nobody for when he was briefly a heartless. But there's a catch, Roxas was created from Kairi's heart leaving Sora's body, so technically, Roxas should never have exsisted....

High-level Peter Pan and Stitch are very useful for making enemies drop tons of orbs in the Underdrome, which is an easy way to meet Jiminy's point requirements (provided you're playing at normal difficulty). I haven't found the other two to be anything other than a waste of perfectly good Drive bars, though.

Genie's Valor Form appears to be the best one to use while you Level your Summon skill up. At least, that's what I used. Went to the start of the last world, where the basic heartless keep spawning, used Genie's Valor Form special attack (the multi-slap thing) a few times, resummoned, and hit the save point and world map to exploit the drive gauge bug before it ran out again. :)

I just started Beasts Castle tonight (first world I visit after Hallow Bastion), and now I think I'm going to regret it.

I just got Beast to...the new party menu is nice to, middle of a fight, bring out Goofy and valor form..

Ah, didn't think it was a spoiler since it was just me guessing... interesting to know that I figured it out as soon as Yen Sid explained what Nobodies are, and that Roxas is a Nobody..... with his connections to Sora about his memories and such, and the part about him looking very similar, I figured Roxas had to be Sora's Nobody from when Sora breifly became a heartless....

Now it's time I get to the game proper since I'm only at the very beginning of Hollow Bastion.

Alright I beat it. 85% complete, what do I get for the other 15%?
First off, no plus mode ala Chrono Trigger? I was looking forward to taking on old bosses maxed the @$#@$% out with the 85 AP I managed to aquire not trying that hard.

Oh and let me say, Final Boss fight? Let us count the number
It's more like eigh boss fights, first THREE sub-bosses.
The (1)Sniper(Pain) the (2)Gambler(Bigger pain) and the Lunar Bastard(3)(Pushover) Rikku however=uber why must I get him so late! He was nearly as asskicking as Tifa!
Unlike Squall and Cloud who use the occasional big flashy move both Rikku and Tifa just go to @%@$ town with constant damage. But that's besides the point, finaly it's (4)Xeman time and you get to fight him once, man-o-mano. Yes he uses pansy sabers but the little run up the side of the building was done well enough to make up for it.

Think he's dead right? Of course not, now he merges with the giant heart and you get to fight his giant robot. Acutal you get to charge through town after his giant robot, however it was fun to do so I forgive them. A few (5 for the lasers, 6 for the core)sub-boss fights later with the parts of the giant machine which were kinda fun.

So we are at six boss fights so far, time to fight Xeman? No fight his (7)Giant Armored cousin who likes sitting on thrones! Note the giant Knight uses all the bosses attacks before him, but because you have Rikku, him=dead@#$@$ dead so @#$%@$ dead.

It's over, yaay, everyone's walking out through the darkness but wait! Sora and Rikku can't hurry there asses up and get left as the doorway closes!

Ohnons! Another bloody boss fight is coming I can feel it!
And yes, sure enough, it's a bloody Dragon made out of buildings no less!(8)
But wait the dragon flys by! Good thing there's a handy floaty-dealy with a spiked end and a laser cannon just sitting nearby... anywaay..

Yes you heard me, the last segment is THAT long.

So one dead dragon later, or rather one semi-dead dragon later and you find infact the dragon is just Xemen's giant armored cousin's steed. So you get to fight him agian. Yay it's all over! It better be... but no, who is that in the dazzaling robes?! Why it's Xeman for one last fight, Yes ladies and gents, boss fight number 9. Nine final bosses and even with Rikku it's a bitch but the cinimatics mid fight were pretty to say the least.

Well I still have to hunt down the odds and ends of this game but let me say that Sephy still curb stomped my ass in under ten seconds at 50. What level should I be to fight him, as he went through my HP in about two attacks.

I've got a friend trying to beat Sephiroth at level 51. He's gotten him down halfway so far, and he's never leveled up a drive form at that (he can't jump high enough to stop the Heartless Angel so he simply sits prepares an Elixer when Sephy starts the move).

I tried his score, and actually took him down a few bars. It is possible.

Just beat the Goddess of Fate Cup in Proud Mode at Lv. 75. I now have Ultima Weapon (which I never got in KH1).

I'm contemplating spending some time to get the necessary goodies to get some Power and Defense Boosts to make Xemnas even easier to defeat.

My brother decided to try his hand at Sephiroth. After several attempts divided by a thunderstorm-caused power outage, he prevailed, and then we decided to beat the game. He went ahead and continued on since I'd been playing all day, and beat the game despite forgetting to reset his shortcut menu to use Hi-Potions and not Elixirs.

Thus we have now beaten the game on Proud Mode and seen the secret ending, the teaser for KH3.

Because of it, I feel very strongly that Square-Enix is about to break loose of Disney and turn Kingdom Hearts into a video game epic in it's own right.

Thats what I was thinking too. There isn't much in the way of Disney works that can really compare to the epic scale that the teaser showed, with the only exception I can think of being the giant gargoyle from Fantasia, but that was used in KH1.

Maybe now we'll get Chrono Trigger characters, dammit!

I got Auron I'm happy with my FF charaters but I would not say no to Frog or Chrono, or hell even Magnus.

But KH3 when it comes might be it, they are starting to run out of Disney material.

I demand Pixar.

Toy Story, A Bug's Life, The Incredibles...

And what about The Great Mouse Detective?

EDIT: Snow White's world, Chip & Dale's world, The Emperor's New Groove, Monster's Inc, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Rescuers Down Under, Pocahontas, Atlantis, and Lilo and Stitch (alien invasions!) would all be great worlds to add. Plenty of content left.

I just bought the game but I won't be able to play until saturday. So I'd like to know how good it is. You all seem to love it, but I still ask.

Was it worth it?

hah... and as for the Epicness of KH I had a thought...

It's supposed to be a combination of Final Fantasy and Disney, but with 1 and 2, great emphasis has been placed on Disney, with FF taking a background role. I mean, the only Final Fantasy character actually in your group is Auron (a damn good choice..), but that is fleeting. All the worlds are also Disney based. Yes, I know, Cloud, Leon, Yuffie, ect, but none of them are characters for you to play as/with, and none of their worlds are there.

Maybe KH3 will include some FF worlds and a lot more FF characters so it seems more balanced.

Not that it's a bad thing, but as was mentioned, they're running out of Disney material, and it does seem that Disney has gotten the main emphasis.

I disagree that they are running out of disney material; as I mentioned above, there's many more worlds they could add. Again,
Toy Story, A Bug's Life, The Incredibles, The Great Mouse Detective, Snow White, Chip & Dale, The Emperor's New Groove, Monster's Inc, The Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Rescuers Down Under, Pocahontas, Atlantis, and Lilo and Stitch, etc.

However, I would love to go to Midgar and re-enact Advent Children as Sora. :)

Well as I was just discussing with Steve over AIM, I'm not saying they have zero Disney material left, or that they shouldn't have anymore, but I want to see more FF stuff.
