Crossover Mirror Universe Timelines

[Darth Fanboy]

An idea i'm shopping in the Writers guild a bit, but I wanted to try and pimp out a couple of potential timelines for the Mirror ST and Mirror SW galaxies. I figured i'd do that here so I could judge reaction by a wider audience, while still asking questions in the Writers Guild about more specific points.

(The Mirror SW Galaxy uses a different calendar, but for ease of reading, the timeline will be done in the BBY/ABY format)


3960 BBY - The Sith/Mandalorian Wars end with the Mandalorians all but wiped out.

1031 BBY - Kaan's Brotherhood of Darkness defeats Lord Hoth's Army of Light in the decisive 7th BAttle of Ruusan. Kaan is then assassinated by Darth Bane, who adopts the "Rule of Many". This allows the Sith to spread and multiply to tighten their hold on the galaxy and the Galactic Empire is formed with the head of the Sith Order as the Emperor. Lord Hoth retreats and adopts the "Rule of Two." One Jedi Master to protect and pass on the tradition, and one Jedi Padawan to learn from the Master.


32 BBY - (The Phantom Hope) The Free Trade Federation blockades the planet Naboo as a protest to Governor Panaka's cruel treatment of the native & sentient Gungans. Emperor Sidious sends Darth Tyranus of Serenno and Darth Maul of Iridonia to investigate and to apprehend the guerilla 'terrorist' Padme Amidala. Their efforts are thwarted by a Jedi, once thought extinct. The Jedi (Qui Gon Jinn) and Amidala escape to Tatooine, where Tyranus and Maul eventually find Anakin Skywalker and take him by force from his family's wealthy estate back to the Emperor. Later, the Sith Imperial Navy forces the FTF from Naboo by force and the Jedi (Qui Gonn Jinn), duels the pair of Sith, killing Darth Maul but falling to the blade of Darth Tyranus. Before he dies Qui Gon tells Tyranus that his Master would one day restore light to the galaxy. Shortly after the conflict, Yoda is elected to his 100th consecutive term as Coruscant's planetary governor.

27 BBY - Outbound Flight leaves on a voyage to find more worlds for the Sith Empire to conquer. Along the way they encounter and crush a Chiss task Force led by an incompetent Commander Thrawn just before leaving the galaxy proper.

27-22 BBY - Yoda befriends Darth Vader on Coruscant, the two become friends.

22 BBY - (Attack of the Droids) Amidala hires Jango Fett to assassinate Tyranus as revenge for the incident on Naboo. Jango performs the job for free as a way of taking revenge for the Mandalorians and uses Zam Wessel as his proxy. The attack is foiled by Tyranus' apprentice Darth Vader (formerly Anakin Skywalker). Wessel is killed by Skywalker but Fett manages to escape. Skywalker, who is in line to become a fully fledged Sith, is sent on a hunt for Amidala while Tyranus is sent to investigate the possibilities that a secret droid army is under construction on Geonosis using information extracted from Wessel. Skywalker tracks down Amidala on Tatooine, where she has taken refuge with Anakin's family (who are staunchly Anti-Sith.) A sandstorm interferes with their departure and Anakin and Amidala are forced to remain on the estate for the time being with Amidala as his prisoner. However, they fall in love and Anakin is content to let Amidala escape for the time being in exchange for information about the Jedi. The new Jedi Master is building a clone army on Kamino and intends to use the army in a bid for secession. The army is being financed by groups such as the Free Trade Federation. Jango Fett offered himself as the template asking only one unaltered clone in exchange.

Tyranus and Anakin are separately captured by Clones and are offered amnesty by Obi Wan Kenobi, a politically skilled former Sith who left the order in protest over the Empire's tyranny. Obi Wan tries to persuade Tyranus by telling him that the dark times are near their end and that a movement within the Empire is growing to topple the Emperor. Just as Tyranus and Anakin are being given a fair trial for crimes against sentient species, Darth Windu arrives with the Droid Army. The Jedi-led Separatists are forced to flee and Darth Windu beheads Jango Fett. but the Droid Wars begin shortly after. Anakin and Padme wed in secret on Coruscant.

22 to 19 BBY - (Droid Wars) The Droid Wars ignite across the galaxy and the hunt for Obi Wan Kenobi and his hidden Jedi Master begins. Notable Figures include the Sith Generals Darth Tyranus and Darth Vader, who work poorly as a team but produce excellent individual resutls nevertheless. On the side of the Separatists, the biologically enhanced General Grievous becomes a hero for his eforts at reducing collateral damage and sparing lives. Greivous also is able to challenge Sith combatants, an ability that gains him reknown amongst his enemies. A young Boba Fett begins making a name for himself as a heroic individual with his selfless acts. Padme and Anakin have a series of covert encounters, one of which leaves Amidala pregnant.

19 BBY - (Revenge of the Jedi) Greivous and Kenobi lead a raid to Coruscant aimed at abducting Emperor Sidious, the plan succeeds with the covert help of the Jedi Master in providing security access and covert assistance. Tyranus and Skywalker (still under the alias of Darth Vader) head to the Separatist flagship to rescue Sidious. They duel with Kenobi in front of a bound Sidious, Tyranus is taken out of the fight but Skywalker manages to overcome Kenobi after calming himself in the midst of battle with a mental technique Yoda had taught him. Before he beheads Kenobi, Skywalker is told that there is still good inside of him, and that he still had a chance to redeem himself despite it all. After an encounter with Grievous Anakin and Tyranus manage to rescue Sidious successfully. However, despite the victory there is still the matter of the hidden Jedi Master and the Separatist leadership, including Padme Amidala.

With help from Yoda Anakin is named to the Sith Council, but all he sees is bitter infighting and self destructive behavior that Yoda said he would find. The Sith Council manages to agree that Greivous' death would be a demoralizing blow and they concentrate their efforts on him. Tyranus is dispatched there, Darth Windu decides to stay behind to deal with the Jedi Master should he reveal himself, and Emperor Sidious departs to Kashyyk for an Imperial ceremony commemorating the Droid Conquest of Kashyyk . Eventually Yoda reveals himself to Anakin as the Jedi Master, which leads to a duel between Yoda and Darth WIndu in which Anakin goes to Yoda's aid by killing Windu. Order 66 is enacted within hidden programming inserted into all of the Sith Droid control programs by Yoda and Obi Wan. Droids across the galaxy kamikaze and wipe out the Sith save for Sidious, Tyranus, and a handful of others. Anakin then heads to Mustafar to where Padme and the other Separatist leaders are in seclusion, but he cannot arrive before Tyranus who holds Padme hostage. They duel and Anakin kills Tyranus after embracing the light fully. Sidious and Yoda duel it out on Coruscant but not before a general uprising across the galaxy aided by the Separatist Clone Army. Yoda kills Sidious, and from the ashes of the Empire, a Republic is born. Padme Amidala dies of injuries sustained on Mustafar in childbirth, but she dies in peace with her husband at her side at the nearby hospital on Polis Massa.

18 BBY - The Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic begin to flourish as Anakin Skywalker begins training his twin children in the ways of the Force.

0 BBY - (A New Menace) The Galactic Republic encounters the Terran Empire.

Altered Mirror Universe Timeline

2267 - Incident aboard the ISS Enterprise involving Commander Spock and an alternate Captain Kirk. Spock begins preparation to take command of the Empire.

2268-2370 - Weakened by reforms put in place by Commander in Chief Spock the Terran Empire is attacked and subjuguated by the Klingon/Cardassian Alliance

2372 - Terran Rebellion captures Terok Nor from the Alliance.

2373 - Dominion enters the Alpha Quadrant and takes up the Terran Cause, thanks in part due to the Founder's praise of a near human species they befriended long ago, and because of a fabricated Terran accounting of how the Cardassians enslaved Odo. Humans enter the Dominion while the combined races of the Alpha Quadrant align with the Klingon Cardassian Alliance.

2374 - The Dominion brings in reinforcements from the Gamma Quadrant, scaring the Romulans into neutrality and the Alliance is crushed at the battle of Chin'toka. Betazed, a former Terran Empire world, is liberated by the Dominion.

2375 - The Breen side with the Terran/Dominion forces and lead a surprise attack on Earth, which allows Humanity to reclaim their home planet and establish the Terran Nation once again. New shipyards are constructed at Utopia Planita on Mars and the Dominion forces begin producing even more powerful ships. Later that year, the Klingon Cardassian Alliance surrenders.

2376 - Section 31, formerly an elite terrorist cell of the Terran Rebellion, infects the Founders with a genetically engineered virus that is carried back to the great link. Section 31 utilized the help of the Vorta, who despised their Changeling masters. With the elimination of the Founders, the Terrans seize the opportunity to attempt to take total control of the Dominion for themselves. However the new Terran Empire is thwarted as the Vorta close the Wormhole in an attempt to take the Gamma Quadrant for themselves.

2377 - Vulcans and Romulans begin peace talks regarding reunification, Humans in the Terran Empire praise the move as they believe it will strengthen Vulcan resolve and prevent another Spock from emerging amongst them.

2379 - Romulans and Vulcans reunite as the Romulans are inducted into the Terran Empire. Humans, Vulcans/Romulans, and Breen make up the core of this revitalized Empire.

2400+ - At some point in the 25th century, the Terran Empire encounters the derelict Outbound Flight, using what little technology they can decipher quickly into an advantage over the encroaching Borg Collective. Using Borg Transwarp technology, they manage to create a method for transport to Outbound Flight's galaxy of origin.

I've wanted to see the Mirror Dominion for a long time. It would have been a hilarious ending to one of those episodes. The OTL characters let the location of the wormhole slip to the Alliance, which then sends ships through. Cut to a 'good and humanitarian' Jem'Hadar ship...
