Song stuck in my head!

Post by NeoGoomba »

I know there was a thread like this a month or so back, but dammit, I've got the Dr. Who theme song trapped in my cavernous, vacant head and hopefully if I get it stuck in someone elses it will leave me in peace.

Anyone else suffering from a song that just won't quit?
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

Rule number one of dealing with earworms: Find music that you like that has nothing to do with the stuck song.

Rule number two: Trying to get it stuck in someone else's head never works for getting it out. You'll only have a pissed-off someone else.

Rule number three: Commercial jingles are the worst for that shit. Avoid them.

The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin

I've been having the chorus for Sean Paul's "Temperature" getting stuck off and on in my head since Tuesday morning, because it was being used as the piece of music for practiced group routines in my friend's jazz dance class that I went to photograph.

That was actually the first time I had heard the song, and for the record, she doesn't listen to that kind of music, either.
