Very eloquently put, Lord Poe! However, they can remove blog entries, can't they?

LOL...I love the Rebellion bit. While not in direct relation of that woman's insipid Mandalorian masturbation; it's still a nice touch.

Overall a good piece about author's and getting a swelled head because you get to write in that particular universe setting and your piece doesn't get relegated to fanfcition.

Does anyone think I should enable the comments section of this blog? It could be a train wreck, but it could be...flypaper!

Note that if I do, do NOT mention Traviss or anyone else by name. Use clever nicknames or something that doesn't DIRECTLY relate to her, Dark Moose, or any other individual.

Let me know if I should.

I don't see any harm in doing so. Then again, since its been posted for awhile now, I doubt it will get much attention from people who are just browsing the site at this point. Still, with enough activity, I suppose you could ellict a comment from a Traviss fanwhore...

True. Also, YOU guys (all 7 to 12 of you Talifans) can add comment there as well!

Also, I'd recommend taking a look at Nex's last blog, and the comments there:

EDIT: Comments on "Little Palpatines" are now open. TREAD CAREFULLY.

Try /16 instead of /6.

If you are talking about the /hydrospanner/ link, that would appear not to work. I really think they killed it.

I tried the first link and it was dead. The second link worked.

I would suspect his most judicious and fair highness, Emperor Moosetard the First, has deemed Poe's blog to have disturbed the peace by showing an inkling of dissent of any kind, and thus it is likely sceduled for summary and immediate termination.

Poe: Your blog has definitely been disabled, and when I checked up on you from your comments in Nex's, it said that you had been 'disabled' by an admin.

http://blogs.starwars.com/hydrospanner/6 seems to be blocked for now. Nex's is alive.

Also, a random question, the Kaminoans did say .2 million units with 1 million more in the pipe. I went back and read the script--it seemed to imply, from the comments, that it was the .2 units that were finished and had been started ten years ago, while there were additional 1 million or so units still in training and growth. I think it's fairly obvious we saw more than 200k troops used over the course of the war. But they also referred to the troops as 'items', which lends credibility to the idea that they called the troops themselves 'units', as if they were products.

This is obviously problematic. Here's the quote.
EXTERIOR: TIPOCA CITY, PARADE GROUND (RAINSTORM) - DAY

OBI-WAN, LAMA SU and TAUN WE come out onto a balcony. Below is a huge parade ground. The rain and wind are brutal.
THOUSANDS OF CLONE TROOPERS, faces covered by helmets, are marching and drilling in formations of several hundred.

LAMA SU: (beaming) Magnificent, aren't they?

OBI-WAN nods slowly.

INTERIOR: TIPOCA CITY, CLONE CENTER, CLASSROOM - DAY

The tour continues through a classroom filled with
IDENTICAL YOUNG BOY CLONES.

LAMA SU: We take great pride in our combat education and training programs. This group was created about five years ago.

OBI-WAN: You mentioned growth acceleration...

LAMA SU: Oh yes, it's essential. Otherwise, a mature clone would take a lifetime to grow. Now, we can do it in half the time. Those items you saw on the parade ground were started ten years ago, when Sifo-Dyas first placed the order, and they're already mature.
I didn't add any emphasis, those are just scene directions. Now, however, they didn't call them units and units, but units and items. It's possible what we are seeing is one unit, and that each cloning facility is of similar size, putting out a similar number of troops as this one. And the fact that they are accelerating production seems to mean they have a great deal of untapped capacity. But isn't this really pretty ridiculous? Unit HAS to mean 'group of soldiers' otherwise we're left with an even more annoying problem than KT's 3-million number, which seems utterly arbitrary: the idea that it would take 5-10 more years to get any number of new clones out, possibly leaving them with a pittance of 1.2 million soldiers for the duration. Guh. Has any author, other than the specific one in question, successfully given us a good way of putting the Kamino's statements into a context that fits what we see and are told about the war?

Why do the clones speak "Mandalorian" anyway? Were the cloners on Kamino bored or something? And weren't all Mandalorians except Jango Fett wiped out by the Jedi?

Who fucking knows, really. I bet you dollar to doughnuts that you won't hear a word of this Mando'a idiocy on SW TV.
