Direct links don't work, you'll need the game name for anybody to find it.

Hm Dalton's been tight lipped about the ten ships he lost... could it be because he has 34 warships coming to kick my ass next turn and those ten ships were nothing, or could it be because I dealt him a crippling blow? Only time will tell.

Could be that I was testing obsolete ships against your defenses because you're being an expansionist, aggressive prick as usual.

That's the name of the game.

Besides, have I killed anything of yours? Well there was that colonizer, but that was just a tease. Anyway you don't fool me, you could have sent 1 ship instead of a fleet.

My ships are pretty obsolete too :P.

<edit>Shit I just checked all those ships were 200 or 100 kT... looks like it was a test. Oh well. How do my 380 kT ships stack up to you now?</edit>

I've finally broken down and started watching B5. It's nice to get a better sense of who some of the races are, especially the Narn and Centauri. The series pilot was quite good, with all of its big galactic politics, even though the effects and acting were cringe-inducing. The next three episodes had the pilot's terrible acting and effects, but without the interesting storyline. I'm sure the series gets much better (else why would there be so much interest in it?), but so far the first season is pretty awful. I'm not discouraged, though. The second disc is on its way from Netflix.

Fourth season is the best but I'm sure you've heard that before.
Kullenbrach also noticed that the Narn were exchanging hostilities with the Corporates
Marxis started killing Narns? That's news to me :P. We were talking about Adamant, guess I fucked up ha.

You mean I sent those ships to you for target practise? Too bad the planet ended up not having any defenses, and month after month I was waiting for a few orbital fighters to pop out to save cash $ but you never obliged :x.

Season 1 is mainly for background and background for later plots. Season 2-4 are <3

Don't mind the acting or budget, and stay with the plot. :)

Brian, I have no problem with your characters lying their asses off, but if you're going to depict events as if that was the way they actually happened, try to make it accurate. The shot that killed the Terra came from a Starfury, not the Vorlons; your text about "nothing human" suggests otherwise.

Who says Gunther boarded the Terra? :P

Life is easy Uraniun, you outmaneuvered me this turn, so have a cold one on me :D.

All four of my "kills" came from boarding I think. My peashooters do 30 damage a piece, no way they got through your armor. Watching the combat I think the Vorlons killed at least one ship so I've got my ass covered.

Besides, you're the one who brought the game mechanics in with the "damn corpers fired the first shot" business, so I took a look at the battle and took what was there too :P (even though in a previous RP I specifically had Marxis order his Captains not to fire first, but oh well everything's fine I slot in an insane dude, there's a plethora of them under Marxis' employ).

<edit>I just watched it again, for sure the Vorlons killed two ships. Anyway using game mechanics for RP sux, next time I'm not going to say that you shoot at your own ships in progress of being captured and you don't say I fire first cause of game mechanics, good deal? :P</edit.

It still irks me (and has for some time now) that somehow a private military with only nine planets manages to have so much firepower. Particle cannons and emissives are pretty powerful, but that's all I've got. So far in RP I'm saying it all cool cause of the uber Shadow technology I've got installed in my ships, but that only goes so far. I might start scrapping warships or selling them off soon, I'm a lot more powerful than I should be RP wise.

Of course the real reason is the maintainence killing me now that I'm missing 100k from trade with Uraniun :P motherfucker

Ha ha, economic war cuts Marxis's legs out from under him. :P

The Centauri Republic currently maintains good relations with everyone and our economy is currently booming as we recover from the Shadow War and I haven't even bothered to start remote mining yet (hint, hint)

That's why I like my situation, where most of my income is from remote mining. I could lose 100% of all trade with everyone and it wouldn't effect me hardly at all.

Hm well. Time to build some planet killers for remote mining.

I think the most efficient way to do it is send builder ships instead of trying to fill 'em up with engines... only one ship per sector so I don't want to waste 500 kT on engines...

...anybody have Yards III they want to sell me?.

Planet Killers would indeed make excellent remote miners. It just takes so long to build them. Even with the cost savings from no engines, space yard ships have only half the construction rate of space yard bases, so you're really not saving much, if anything.

You know what. What happens if a game master loads .gam files and .plr files from a modification that's got a different version number? In Adamant there's slots that say "slots created so not to invalidate old empires" so is it possible to add things into say components.txt and compile, and make modifications?

We could fix the jump gate problem that way by adding in a whole new line of jump gate if it works...

Man, if we could do that, we could fix some of the bugs left in STMod, and hardcode in our 2-shields-per-fighter or whatever rule. That'd be pretty sweet. There's other stuff I'd want to tweak but that's just my opinion and not really meaning much. ;p

Since I'm running the files locally, I can see what I can do about that perhaps? 'hot-patch' it and make sure everyone installs a new components.txt file?
