That would probably take a while, as gravity travels at c.Lord of the Abyss wrote:My guess is this; matter and energy are the same thing in different forms, so a plane of infinity energy would have infinite mass, and suck in the universe.
A dimensional cut

I'm not asking whether it exists or not, I'm just asking if an infinite amount of energy or force that only existed in 2 dimensions of space-time were applied to a 3-dimensional object would that object receive any damage or effect from that 2-dimensional plane of energy?
What's her bust size!?

What kind of energy or force ? An electromagnetic "energy blade" would cut off your arm by disrupting the bonds between atoms; a weak or strong force "energy blade" would probably ghost right on through.Shinova wrote:I'm not asking whether it exists or not, I'm just asking if an infinite amount of energy or force that only existed in 2 dimensions of space-time were applied to a 3-dimensional object would that object receive any damage or effect from that 2-dimensional plane of energy?
Electromagnetic, if you need a specific one. But I'd prefer it if it were all forms of energy at the same time, just so we don't discount anything that's powerful.Lord of the Abyss wrote: What kind of energy or force ? How do you get infinite energy of everything? It makes no physical sense.
If infinite energy does exist, than the basic laws of physics would break down and reality would cease making sense. There is no equation and no law of interaction reguarding infinite energy. Infinite can't even by treated by traditional mathmatic tools as it could collapse the number system. (1+ infinity = infinity, -> 1=0) There is some ideas on how do deal with things without upper bound, but that is not exactly "infinity."
As my math teacher once said, infinity is where parallel lines cross (metaphorically) and throw out terms like that on physical systems just make things go crazy.

This truly bears repeating.Darth Wong wrote:This is a retarded question; pure energy exists in 3D space, not in 2D planes.
1. Infinite energy?
2. Infinitly Thin?!
3. 2-dimensional...you mean a line?
Locking because this isn't even conjectural except in how fucking stupid can one be yet think they are asking a question of any intellectual value.
