There was a really cool issue of Empire I remember browsing through awhile ago. Basically it had the Irrepressable Rogue stereotype (Han Solo clone) meet a hot chick who's on the run from the Bad Guys. He saves her and they keep one step ahead of the people who are trying to kill them. She's got information or some such that can prove vital for her side.

At the end she delivers it to an Imperial garrison who descend on the Rebel terrorists like the cavalry coming in the nick of time. The Rogue guy predictably gets upset with her for being one of the 'True' bad guys, which seems to disappoint Hot Chick because she offered to recruit him into the GE.

I loved it. I thought it was a clever twist.
That was a good story, agreed.

One 'series' going on right now has a Lt Sunber, who started out as a decent person trying to do his job in the Empire. Now it has been revealed that he was a childhood friend of Luke and Biggs, and feels betrayed by them.

Until Luke & co came in, this was a good series.

I agree, but ever since his first story, Sunber hasn't had his heart into it. He mostly fights and does a good job out of solidarity with his troops, not because of the Empire's ideals.

I did like how he got pissed off after seeing his troops carved up by Luke's lightsabre, but I have a feeling he'll either defect or sacrifice himself in the name of the Rebellion.
(One highlight of Rebellion, so far, is the artist. He may have some problems with perspective, but he loves to draw big battles and a variety of vehicles, so I'm hoping the upcoming issues have some surprises in store. That's all I can hope for, right now).

Yeah, the lt. Janek Sunber series was great. I didn't really like the fact he was a childhood friend of Luke though, kinda killed the story. And the first issue of Rebellion just dances on Lt. Sunber's grave. Especially because now a different artist and writer are working on it.

Otherwise though, I never read the EU For the same reasons as why I won't read Legacy. It all just seems like away to make quick money off of an established brand. Who cares about being original if you can cash in on it just by putting STAR WARS on the front?

Sunber's first arc was very good.

However... why you need to bring freaking LUKE into everything that happens in the Galaxy? This just makes me sad.
Lì ci sono chiese, macerie, moschee e questure, lì frontiere, prezzi inaccessibile e freddure
Lì paludi, minacce, cecchini coi fucili, documenti, file notturne e clandestini
Qui incontri, lotte, passi sincronizzati, colori, capannelli non autorizzati,
Uccelli migratori, reti, informazioni, piazze di Tutti i like pazze di passioni...

Dear god, and the bitching continues...

Hey, remember that utility belt in KOTOR? What was it's name again... oh yeah, Calrissian's Utility belt. Name recycling isn't anything new.
Actually, I don't recall that, although I don't really doubt you.

Admittedly, there are certainly reasonable explanations for the name, but it nevertheless does not instill me with confidence on the prospective quality of the series.
