No, that's the welcome screen, where one would normally log in on Windows XP.

Wiiii! So far, it's 3:05, I've got an appointment with Hudson at 3:30 for an interview, but so far I've played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Super Mario Galaxy, MegaMan ZX, Starfox DS, and Sonic Wild Fire.

No Twilight Princess, the line was ridiculously long, I was in Metroid Prime 3 for over an hour!

I've got an interview with Hudson now, so g2g

Also, I ran and managed to be in the crowd at the end of G4's live coverage. I observed Adam Sessler's patterns yesterday and when he disappeared I knew to go outside and caught him there, said hi, and shook his hand.

Yes, that's my hands. Playing Sonic Wild Fire.

I have to say, Sonic Wild Fire extremely impressed me. Simply because the other games were as I expected (very good), but Sonic just blew away my expectations (after the last dismal failures of Sonic games. Sonic Heroes anyone?). Despite the fact that it was on rails, it was extremely awesome. You only used one button, which was used for jumping and braking. Shake the controller while locked on to an enemy to attack, shake while running to boost, otherwise, just tilt the controller to steer Sonic.

Super Mario Galaxy was really just a Mario game that lets you smack stuff with the pointer at the same time and spin on command. Very fun, and Mario games are always awesome, but not revolutionary.

Metroid actually had a learning curve. The TV was a bit low for me and my back was really hurting from a 1.5 hour line and I couldn't sit. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I could have sat down, but (just like the early XBox 360 demo stations where the controller was bolted in at a low angle) I was forced to hold the controller at an awkward angle to point at the screen (Metroid Prime's aiming system is based off pointing at the screen, as the Wiimote detects where on the screen you are pointing), which cramped my wrist (this was the exception, not the rule- I had no such difficulty in other games). I did have sufficient control however to totally own Ridley, even causing the Nintendo guy to smirk. Several people before me had died during the Ridley fight.

Madden. Madden was also very, very impressive. I absolutely hate sports games. Last one I enjoyed was Tecmo Bowl for the NES. And I absolutely loved this game. The control scheme was absolutely perfect. No hand cramping, no problems, perfect accuracy, everything worked as I did it. And it was extremely immersive, I was whacking people out of my way, passing and punting the ball, etc.



Also, the DS games I played (Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, StarFox DS, and MegaMan ZX) were all very, very fun.
