Catalogue of changes made to Star Wars OT?

Post by Rommie2006 »

Hi all,

Has anyone stumbled across any catalogue/records/archive of all the changes, including both big ones like inserted scenes and small ones like a change of the dialogue?

I remember surfing a website that recorded all the little changes to SW OT each time it was released on VHS, LD, DVD, etc, but I can't seem to find it anymore.

Has anyone made a bookmark of it?

Well, the Wookieepedia has a pretty good list (even though not all the minor audio changes are listed such as the sound of Luke's lightsaber being turned off as Luke flees from the Wampa lair in TESB):

Nice! You should look at my post above yours for a small audio change.

EDIT: Oh, I misunderstood (the site is rather old), but it was a good site anyhow.

DVDactive.com (formerly dvdanswers.com) has some nice pictures comparing the versions.
fun/fantasy movies existed before the overrated Star Wars came out. What made it seem 'less dark' was the sheer goofy aspect of it: two robots modeled on Laurel & Hardy, and a smartass outlaw with bigfoot co-pilot and their hotrod pizza-shaped ship, and they were sucked aboard a giant Disco Ball. -adw1
Someone asked me yesterday if Dracula met Saruman and there was a fight, who would win. I just looked at this man. What an idiotic thing to say. I mean really, it was half-witted. - Christopher Lee

And AT-AT Walkers were added into all of the backgrounds.
