T-800 vs 6 Replicants (minor Bladerunner spoilers)

Post by Rathark »

In the year 2029, the war against the humans led by John Connor is going badly. By means incomprehensible to humans, Skynet learns of an alternate timeline where humans - having avoided the nuclear holocaust of Skynet's timeline - have created replicants; artificially organic beings indistinguishable from humans, yet with remarkable intelligence and superhuman strength. Skynet can do nothing with the replicants themselves, for their allegiance would be to much of a risk to its cause (they are not absolutely guaranteed to take sides). However, Skynet realizes that sufficiently large tissue samples must be returned to the present timeline so the replicants can be cloned, mass produced and trained (assume that this should not take too long). Skynet now realizes that it is slealth and creativity - not firepower and brute strength - that will win the war against the humans, and the replicants are the perfect means to such a victory.

Because of the unusual nature of the rapid cloning project (there are too many uncertain variables in replicant biology that Skynet needs to analyze personally), very large tissue samples must be returned to 2029. This means that one single T-800 must go to the alternate 2019 Los Angeles and terminate all 6 replicants in order to collect the appropriate body parts. Standard procedure must be followed: arrive naked in destination era, acquire clothing, purchase weaponry, blend in as inconspicuously as possible (yeah, right), and track down the targets.

The T-800 arrives in the outer reaches of LA just at the moment where we first meet Rick Deckard reading the paper early in the movie. He is still kilometres away from any one of the replicants. By now, 4 of the replicants are not only wary of the law, but of anyone resembling a bounty hunter, or anyone equally suspicious.

The T-800 has sufficient data regarding the LA of this particular era and timeline, thanks to Skynet's mysterious ability to read databases of select parallel universes (just go with it :D ). It knows the identities and appearances of all 6 replicants (you know who I'm talking about).

The replicants know nothing just yet. The question is: how quickly do they learn? Will they be prepared?

Actually, T-800s bleed too.

But, the terminator wins. He is much more capable.

The Terminator is much more capable and knows the prey while the prey has little idea of it.

Sorry Ah-nuld is going to win this one.
