I guess not.
SHIT!!!! The only rumor that would possibly make this movie not suck in my eyes shot down.
But A wierd thing about that is that he quote to have said the same thing regarding Alien 3, but when I was watching the Alien Saga Doc, he said that he was dissapointed that Hicks was killed off in the script. Just Trying to have some Hope.

Wise of him if you ask me. Terminator is nothing without James Cameron. Regardless of whether he ripped it off from Harlan Ellison or not, the movies have been his babies and to make them without him isn't right.

Depends. If the new guy does a good job, no one will care. We love the Terminator character. But somehow, that seems doubtful. Besides, I can't imagine how you could write a story for T3 that doesn't fuck over the intentions of T2.

Well, It may answer the question of where the original Terminator come from. B/C that seems to have been an unanswered question.

Seems unreasonable not use the Liquid Metal in an upgraded T. Or it could be something like a T-400, an earlier model, since it is the begining of the machines reign of perfection... err terror.
Maybe Skynet abandoned the whole liquid metal technology. The T2 novelisation says that Skynet had some trouble with the T-1000 prototypes. They were considered dangerously unpredictable. Using one in its' time war was a tactic born of desperation (its' central processor was about to be destroyed by the resistance).

So, there is no reason why the 'female' Terminator can't be a T-1100 or T-1200 series. More standard technology with improved camoflage programming, better armour, servo motors and higher survivability rates.

Actually, I heard that the new feminator was supposed to be something that could turn into GAS, and that Arnie plays an extremely malfunctioning reject T-800 model.

Malfunctioning T-800? Oh bundle of fun. Of course, what makes little sense is why the manufacturing flaws WOULDN'T be detected BEFORE they put the flesh on- hence why would they bother putting the flesh on it at all?

I think this film is going to suck more than the NJO but I'll go and see it anyway just on the off chance it'll be any good.

I just hope they cast a rather small framed woman as the FT, as I think that would be a very good contrast against the T-800.

When I heard the old rumour that Chyna was going to be cast (FALSE, thank God!), I thought, "Shit, why don't they just put Arnold in a wig..."

The woman cast is pretty tall, I don't know about framewise though.

She could be lithe. It would not be that easy to find a short woman that is really lithe.

Well, I was thinking of a petite dancer type...

But, whatever works, I guess. I just hope she's not muscular.

In the pictures I've seen, she doesn't look like muscular.

IMDB says it's Kristanna Loken.

Googling that gives a bunch of pics for a Norwegian actress.

Actually, she looks pretty good, as long as they keep her hair dark and short.

Really? I've heard that from some of my friends, but I
think it could a pleasant change. Cameron's last few
films have been very weak ("Titanic"). After his sell-out
to the teenage girls--all of whom had apparently never
seen a decent love story before, or fail to realize
they're packing more manhood than "Romeo" Dicaprio--
I've been plenty pissed with the guy...

Though it's too late, I'd be just as happy with Paul Verhoven
at the helm. His sense of humor hasn't at least degenerated
to the point of putting bird-chested little flakes in a male
leading role.

Well, regarding the T-X, I have read the following two things:

1. The T-X is supposed to have some sort of electrical based attacks

2. The T-X has the abilities to control computers/machinery.

In fact, I remember reading a quote saying something about how the T-X might be able to control Ah-nuld and that you'd "never know when he might be a bad guy or a good guy." 8)

Of course, like most things on the Internet, it's probably 100% horse hockey.

If the T-X is going to be similar to the I-950 then that wouldn't be too suprising. I wonder how close the Stirling novels are to canon and if they'be been in account?
